Chapter 5920: Full Power

January 17, 2020 · 5 min read · 977 words

In every direction, countless secret techniques suddenly erupted toward the two Giant Gods.

It was the Ink Clan's instinctive response in their panic and terror.

Ada and Ar had only just stretched themselves out when they were engulfed by the overwhelming barrage of attacks.

"ROAR!" Ada bellowed. A boundless fury surfaced on his perpetually honest face.

Ada had done nothing.

Ada had merely appeared here.

Ada had been attacked!

The Ink Clan truly were no good!

With his roar, the countless Ink Clan secret techniques hurtling toward him smashed into an invisible wall and were deflected away. In the next instant, Ada took a stride and charged forward.

His colossal body moved with what seemed like slow, clumsy momentum, but a single step carried him to the nearest Celestial Body, and he drove a punch into it.

The Giant Gods were even more towering and massive than Pure Yang Pass. Even standing before this Celestial Body, they were virtually the same size.

Where that fist landed on the surface of the Celestial Body, every Ink Clan member within its range—regardless of their strength—was annihilated into fine dust. Even a Pseudo Lord-Rank among them could not escape the devastation of that single blow.

A Pseudo Lord-Rank of considerable strength, casually obliterated by the Giant God's strike!

Countless others perished as well.

The surface of the Celestial Body violently cratered over a vast area. Then the devastating force detonated, and the entire world shattered into fragments in an instant.

Innumerable Ink Clan members screamed and fled, only to be swept up by the residual shockwave of that punch, unable to struggle free.

A single punch destroying an entire Celestial Body—perhaps a Human Race Eighth-Order Open Heaven cultivator could accomplish something similar, but never so thoroughly, never so effortlessly.

This was the power of the Giant Gods. In the present cosmos, aside from the unfathomable Ink's true form, the Giant Gods had always stood at the pinnacle of individual might.

They might not be proficient in secret techniques or divine abilities, and they might lack in intellect, but the Creator had granted them innately overwhelming strength.

While Ada was busy demolishing one Celestial Body with a punch, Ar was far from idle. He too had surged into battle, cutting through the Ink Clan's painstakingly constructed defenses as if passing through empty space. Every punch, every kick sent Celestial Bodies crumbling to pieces and claimed the lives of hordes of Ink Clan members.

In mere moments, the vast void was strewn with Celestial Body fragments. The Ink power released from the fallen Ink Clan members was so dense it was nearly impossible to dissipate.

Only at this point did the Pseudo Lord-Ranks finally react. Across their respective Celestial Bodies, the Pseudo Lord-Ranks began marshaling the armies under their command, intercepting the two black Giant Gods.

The results came quickly. Though the Giant Gods' power was terrifying, there were only two of them—clear, obvious targets. The Ink Clan reinforcement force was enormous, and with proper coordination, the concentrated attacks they could mount were not to be underestimated.

The barrage coming from every direction battered Ada and Ar, making their bodies sway and their movements falter, which only inflamed their ferocity.

During the battle for Returnless Pass, two rounds of concentrated fire from the Human Race army had been enough to destroy the second black Giant God. If the Ink Clan possessed the same level of coordination and planning as the Humans, they could very likely accomplish the same feat.

Of course, when the Humans had slain that second black Giant God, it had already fought a grueling battle against Ada and Ar and sustained serious injuries. Furthermore, its movements had been restricted, leaving it completely unable to evade the concentrated bombardment. It had endured those attacks head-on, and even a Giant God couldn't withstand that.

Ada and Ar's situation now was naturally far better than that black Giant God's. The Ink Clan's attacks were relentless and left no blind spots, but as long as they couldn't unleash enough damage in a single instant to exceed what the Giant Gods could endure, their lives were not in danger.

However, with the depth of this Ink Clan reinforcement force, if they were willing to pay a certain price, they could still manage to drive Ada and Ar back.

Assuming nothing unexpected happened...

Something unexpected happened almost immediately.

In the midst of the battlefield, the aura of a Pseudo Lord-Rank was extinguished!

In such a fierce battle, the fall of a Pseudo Lord-Rank was nothing remarkable. One unfortunate Pseudo Lord-Rank had already died beneath the Giant Gods' attacks the moment they began.

But what caught the attention of the Ink Clan powerhouses was that the location of this Pseudo Lord-Rank's death was wrong. That position was far from the Giant Gods—their attacks could not possibly have reached there.

Moreover, even if the shockwave had extended that far, given a Pseudo Lord-Rank's strength, how could they fail to withstand some residual force?

Before those Ink Clan powerhouses who had noticed could even piece it together, another Pseudo Lord-Rank's aura suddenly vanished.

Then a third, then a fourth...

The Pseudo Lord-Ranks finally realized the truth.

Besides the two Giant Gods, there was another powerhouse on this battlefield—one no one had detected—who was ruthlessly harvesting the lives of Pseudo Lord-Ranks.

Every Pseudo Lord-Rank was seized by terror.

"It's Yang Kai! He's here!" one of the Pseudo Lord-Ranks roared.

Earlier, when Pure Yang Pass and the two Giant Gods had appeared seemingly out of nowhere, a River of the Great Dao had spanned the void. Many Pseudo Lord-Ranks had recognized the origin of that River of the Great Dao. According to the intelligence Mo Na Ye had transmitted before his death, it was the manifestation of the Great Dao belonging to a Human Race killing omen named Yang Kai.
