Across the Void World, whether in bustling cities or remote outposts, wherever the Human Race made its home—every man and woman, young and old, regardless of the strength of their cultivation—was shouting their encouragement with all their might, their voices hoarse, their postures reverent.
Streams of fortune, strong and weak alike, flowed from these hundreds of millions of humans, converging toward the golden dragon's shadow.
Looking inward, Yang Kai saw that within his Small Universe, countless threads of fortune connected the golden dragon's phantom to the people within, forming a dense net that spanned heaven and earth.
Where one person's fortune was weak, a hundred were strong; where ten thousand were mighty, hundreds of millions of humans' fortune gathered as one, shaking heaven and earth.
The dragon's might grew ever greater!
The golden dragon shadow roared with a thunderous cry, its form trembling violently, and the barrier that shrouded the entire Small Universe began to melt away rapidly, like snowflakes under the blazing sun.
With the Three Parts Return to One technique activated, drawing primarily upon the current fortune of the Human Race and merging the fortune of the protagonists of heaven and earth across three different eras, he would shatter the shackles of the Universe and open entirely new frontiers.
Yang Kai's own aura climbed higher and higher!
The three False Sovereigns closing in on him began to sense something was wrong. Normally, with three False Sovereigns joining forces against Yang Kai—an Eighth Grade cultivator at his peak with no means of escape—he should have been no match at all and would likely have been cut down before long.
That he had managed to hold on this long without dying had already left the False Sovereigns shocked and bewildered.
And yet his aura was still climbing, with subtle signs of a breakthrough approaching. That was even harder to believe.
No one knew what Yang Kai had done to possess such resilience and endure like this; they could only vaguely guess that it had something to do with his having just opened his Small Universe to take in an Eighth Grade cultivator and a Demon Beast Emperor.
His already majestic aura continued to grow.
One of the False Sovereigns shouted in alarm, "Kill him, now!"
Something was wrong. If Yang Kai's aura kept growing, he would truly break through his shackles and ascend to the Ninth Grade. But how was this possible? According to the Mo Race's intelligence, Yang Kai was destined never to reach the Ninth Grade Supreme in his lifetime. So why were there now signs of an imminent breakthrough?
The other two False Sovereigns needed no reminding. They unleashed one killing move after another, heedless of how much of their own power they burned, desperate to cut Yang Kai down as quickly as possible.
Yet no matter how hard they tried, no matter how wretched Yang Kai appeared, they could never extinguish his vitality or finish him off.
The Sacred Dragon Body was inherently comparable to a Ninth Grade cultivator or a Sovereign. Even though Yang Kai had devoted most of his consciousness to his Small Universe, with only a fraction left to fight, he was still not so easily killed.
On the other side, Mo Naye watched with burning anxiety. He knew something had gone wrong—Yang Kai truly seemed on the verge of advancing to the Ninth Grade. He wished he could come personally to kill Yang Kai and eliminate the threat for good, but he was unable to shake off Yang Xue, so how could he intervene in the battle here?
Just as the Mo Race powerhouses were growing restless, the aura Yang Kai had been gathering to its peak suddenly seemed to shatter through a limit, surging wildly upward once more.
That blazing might was no longer something an Eighth Grade Open Heaven cultivator could possess—even an ordinary Ninth Grade would struggle to match it!
In that instant, Yang Kai—who had been struggling and defending desperately against the three False Sovereigns' combined assault—suddenly opened his eyes wide, those two pupils shining as bright as the blazing sun.
Though he was still a wretched sight, drenched in blood, his bearing was wild and unrestrained.
Glancing coldly at the three False Sovereigns surrounding him, Yang Kai clenched his teeth and roared, "Have you three had enough yet? I've been putting up with you for far too long!"
As his words fell, he gripped the Azure Dragon Spear tightly and channeled the Power of the Grand Dao. A sound like rushing water rang out, and the River of Time and Space—which had vanished due to the turbulence of the Grand Dao's power—reappeared, coiling around the spear like a water dragon.
The spear thrust forward in a lightning strike aimed straight at the nearest False Sovereign.
That False Sovereign was horrified. Sensing the indestructible force behind the thrust, he threw himself backward.
But the instant he moved, that spear seemed to traverse the barriers of time and space itself, piercing clean through his heart.
The False Sovereign didn't react at first. When the searing pain in his chest finally registered and he looked down, he realized with shock that the spear had already pierced him through.
His eyes filled with disbelief as he looked up with great effort at Yang Kai, who stood right before him. "How… how is this possible?"
He was a False Sovereign. Though he had advanced hastily during the emergence of the Heaven and Earth Furnace, he was still a False Sovereign, possessing a Sovereign's full power—no different in level from a human Ninth Grade.
Any human Ninth Grade who fought him would not have gained the upper hand so easily—they would have needed at least several dozen to a hundred exchanges.
And yet Yang Kai had pierced him with a single thrust!
Clearly, that spear thrust had looked utterly ordinary, without any trick to it—and yet he simply hadn't been able to react or dodge!
Perhaps it was the final clarity that comes before death, but the False Sovereign's mind involuntarily recalled the moment Yang Kai had thrust the spear. In that fleeting instant, that unadorned strike from this human harbinger of doom had seemed to pierce from the spacetime of the past, striking toward some specific moment in his future—leaving him absolutely no room to evade.
The Dao of Time and Space! The False Sovereign vaguely understood what had happened…
"Clay chickens and pottery dogs!" Yang Kai snorted coldly. Though his appearance was as wretched as could be, his aura was unmatched through all the ages. With a flick of the spear, the False Sovereign skewered upon it exploded into a cloud of blood mist, rich Mo Force erupting outward.
The entire battlefield fell silent, every soul struck dumb with shock!
