Chapter 5764: Chaos Divides into Yin and Yang

January 17, 2020 · 5 min read · 982 words

Deep within the Endless River, when the power of Chaos grew dense to its absolute limit, some wondrous changes suddenly manifested. This piqued Yang Kai's interest and was the very reason he persisted in pressing onward with his exploration.

What exactly those changes were, Yang Kai couldn't articulate for the time being. Perhaps sinking further would yield clearer insights. But he distinctly felt that the force with which the surrounding river water battered his body had weakened ever so slightly.

When things reach an extreme, they reverse?

With the river's impact diminished, the pressure he needed to withstand naturally lessened in turn. Yang Kai no longer felt any urgency to withdraw.

The hardest part had already been weathered. Now was the time to properly explore the interior of the Endless River. Yang Kai harbored a vague premonition that he was on the verge of touching upon secrets that had never been known to the outside world.

Others may have contemplated exploring the Endless River in the past, but none could have possibly reached this depth.

That Yang Kai had arrived here was not merely the accumulation of his own foundations, but also the result of external aids. Whether it was the Warm Spirit Lotus guarding his consciousness or the Subtree sealing his Small Universe, these were conditions that no ordinary person could possess.

Not even a Ninth-Order human cultivator could manage it!

Moreover, in terms of attainment in the Grand Dao, Yang Kai was second to none among the Ninth-Order humans. What he lacked was merely cultivation realm. Within the Endless River, the power of the Dao was the greatest asset—realm was secondary.

Yang Kai could therefore all but confirm that no one had ever penetrated to this position before, let alone uncovered what lay in the depths of the Endless River.

Inside the Endless River, it had originally been dark and devoid of light. But at some indistinct point, a faint luminescence had appeared within the churning waters all around.

The light came in two colors—yellow and blue...

At first, the glow was barely noticeable. But as Yang Kai sank deeper, the luminescence grew denser. Looking out, ribbons of light drifted through the river like colorful silk banners, swaying with the current. They adorned the vast river with a splendor that was both breathtaking and magnificent.

The color of this light felt achingly familiar, and the aura it emitted was no stranger to him either.

Enlightenment struck in a flash. "Chaos divides into Yin and Yang!"

Lei Ying seemed to grasp something as well, but its experience was naturally not as vast as the main body's. It sensed a vague understanding, yet could not quite grasp it fully.

Yang Kai's eyes blazed with light. This exploration of the Endless River's depths had begun on a mere whim. With numerous Black Ink Clan powerhouses searching for him on the outside, he had simply wanted to linger within the river until the storm blew over. He had never expected to stumble upon such a spectacular, unexpected discovery—he had witnessed the magnificent spectacle of Chaos dividing into Yin and Yang at some unfathomable depth within this river.

This was the evolution of the Dao's power. The differentiation of Chaos itself.

He steadied his position, focused his mind, and silently contemplated the transformations of the Dao's power unfolding around him.

Only after what felt like an eternity did he suddenly open his eyes, a look of deep contemplation on his face. He shifted his position and led Lei Ying further down.

The deeper they descended, the more numerous and vivid the yellow and blue ribbons became, until at last no other color remained in his field of vision—everything was saturated with yellow and blue, dazzling to behold.

And here, Yang Kai could no longer detect even the faintest trace of Chaos's fractured Dao marks. This was the convergence point of the two Daos of Yin and Yang.

Pure, primordial power surged and interwove here, manifesting the ultimate mysteries of the Yin and Yang Daos.

Yang Kai and Lei Ying were virtually swimming through a river of the Dao itself!

He felt both exhilarated and wistful.

What exhilarated him was that the Dao's power here was so pure and abundant that anyone who arrived could absorb and refine it, rapidly elevating their comprehension of the Yin and Yang Dao.

After all, this was primordial Dao power manifested from the very essence of Chaos—its purity was beyond question.

What made him wistful was that the Dao of Yin and Yang was not his primary cultivation path. His Small Universe did contain Dao marks of Yin and Yang, but those had only been acquired from a prior encounter within the Grand Sea Celestial Phenomenon.

If a cultivator from Yin Yang Heaven were to set foot in this place, now *that* would be a thief stumbling into a treasure vault!

Someone like Ancestor Xiaoxiao, Luo Tinghe, or even his own wives Qu Huashang and Tao Lingwan—for them, such a treasure ground would save countless years of cultivation and rapidly elevate their Dao comprehension.

He sighed quietly to himself. Since none of them could come, he would simply have to do it in their stead.

Without hesitation, he flung open his Small Universe and began devouring the Dao's power with the ravenous hunger of a starved man who had not eaten for centuries.

This was something he had done once before, within the Grand Sea Celestial Phenomenon. But the circumstances had been different then. The Grand Sea Celestial Phenomenon contained numerous rivers of the Dao, each of varying size and brimming with different types of Dao power. Yang Kai had collected those individual rivers into his Small Universe to refine them.

That wasn't necessary now. The Yin and Yang Dao power was so rich and plentiful that simply opening his Small Universe was enough for it all to pour in.
