The cosmos was filled with infinite, chaotic Dao traces—here, it was as though the Great Dao itself had been shattered. The concepts of space and time had become utterly blurred.
This was the interior of the Qiankun Furnace, a vast, wondrous, and utterly unimaginable world.
Yang Kai soared through the void, activating the Solar Lunar Record to sense the locations of the nine Heaven-Opening Pills while simultaneously familiarizing himself with the environment.
His understanding of the Qiankun Furnace was limited, but based on his various experiences, he could now confirm that the opportunity within the Qiankun Furnace had to be contested inside its interior world.
If that was the case, then both humanity and the Mo Race would surely send a large number of powerhouses into the Qiankun Furnace this time. Mo Naye, who had been trapped within the projection space, should also be in this furnace world by now.
Yang Kai raised an eyebrow slightly and secretly made a resolve: if he ran into Mo Naye, he would not let the man off easy. Normally, he was no match for Mo Naye, but back in the projection space he had beaten the fellow black and blue. Who knew how much of his strength Mo Naye could still muster? If they truly crossed paths, perhaps there would be a chance to kill him!
But this furnace world was boundlessly vast, and finding Mo Naye here would likely be no easy task.
He quieted his mind and continued probing the situation within this furnace world.
He had originally assumed that the interior of this world would be completely barren—after all, it was merely the inner world of the Qiankun Furnace, lacking the complete Heavenly Dao evolution that the myriad great domains of the outside world had undergone. All it contained were these chaotic, disordered Dao traces—what else could possibly exist?
But as he traveled onward, Yang Kai realized he had been wrong.
The scenery within this furnace world was remarkably rich and varied.
Where the infinite, chaotic, and disordered Dao traces converged, they often formed spectacles rarely seen in the outside world—somewhat reminiscent of the wondrous celestial phenomena he had witnessed deep within the battlefield of the Mo.
The grandest spectacle was a great river!
This great river originated from some unfathomably distant point and extended toward an unknown destination, winding and meandering. Yang Kai was currently following the river's course as he explored the furnace world.
Yet he had been flying for a full three days, traversing billions upon billions of miles, and still he could not see the end of this great river.
The river was filled with the most common disordered and chaotic broken Dao traces found in this place—its waters composed almost entirely of these fragmented traces that cultivators could hardly absorb or refine.
What astonished Yang Kai even more was that within this great river, peculiar beings had actually been born.
When he first encountered the river, driven by curiosity, he had plunged deep inside to investigate—only to immediately suffer an attack from an indescribable monster.
The monster was truly difficult to describe. Not only did it lack a fixed form, but its very existence was nearly impossible to perceive. It was almost completely fused with the great river itself, and before it launched its assault, Yang Kai had sensed nothing whatsoever.
Its strength was also elusive and impossible to gauge clearly. Fortunately, Yang Kai had maintained his vigilance in this unfamiliar environment, which prevented the creature from getting the better of him.
Upon encountering such a creature suddenly, Yang Kai had gotten an idea—to capture it for closer examination. But after a fierce exchange, though he managed to drive it back, the monster simply plunged into the great river and vanished without a trace, never to be found again.
It was as if it were nothing more than a splash of spray from this strange river, or perhaps it had been a part of the river all along…
After this experience, Yang Kai tried several more times and finally confirmed that beneath this seemingly tranquil surface, the great river concealed boundless dangers. Those peculiar monsters were found everywhere within its waters.
That the Qiankun Furnace could actually give birth to such beings was truly baffling!
To avoid wasting time, Yang Kai stopped venturing into the river during his subsequent exploration and simply skirted along its banks.
Three days later, his expression suddenly filled with surprise. He looked up into the distance, and before his eyes, stretching across the void—a range of towering, majestic mountains stretching in an endless chain.
Yang Kai couldn't help but marvel. The world within the Qiankun Furnace truly contained wonders beyond imagination. First there had been this great river winding from who knew where to who knew where, and now an enormous mountain range had appeared as well.
It seemed the mysteries of the Qiankun Furnace far exceeded his imagination.
He activated the Solar Lunar Record to probe once more, but gained no new information—in other words, the nine genuine Heaven-Opening Pills were not within his sensing range.
After a brief hesitation, Yang Kai turned and soared toward the mountain range.
His understanding of the Qiankun Furnace was still far too shallow. No matter what, it would be best to familiarize himself further with this environment.
Like the great river that seemed to pierce through the entire furnace world, this mountain range appeared unremarkable from a distance. But only upon closer inspection would one discover that the mountains were formed from the same infinite broken Dao traces that permeated this place—appearing both solid and ethereal, as if existing somewhere in between.
If the great river harbored such peculiar monsters, what about these mountains?
