To enter the Chaos Furnace and compete for opportunities, one's cultivation needed to be at least Seventh Grade. Those whose cultivation was too low would be of no use upon entering; if they encountered powerful members of the Ink Clan, they would simply be throwing their lives away.
So this time, before the Chaos Furnace opened, the Human Race had already prepared extensive lists of Seventh and Eighth Grade Open Sky cultivators. Every Human Race powerhouse whose name appeared on those lists was eligible to enter the Chaos Furnace.
But eligibility did not mean everyone could get in. If the Ink Clan controlled the entrance to the Chaos Furnace and sealed off the passage to the world within, the Human Race would have no way in even if they wanted to.
Even on battlefields where the Human Race held the upper hand, these Seventh and Eighth Grade Open Sky cultivators could not simply charge into the Chaos Furnace at will.
They were the primary force opposing the Ink Clan's powerhouses. If they all withdrew, their current advantage could quickly turn into a disadvantage, and the situation would inevitably change.
And so, across the great domain battlefields, not a single Human Race powerhouse had yet entered the Chaos Furnace. Every one of them fought the enemy with all their might—only when the threat had been reduced to the absolute minimum could they depart in peace.
As for the Ink Clan, their understanding of the Chaos Furnace was extremely limited. Although some Ink Clan powerhouses speculated that the mouth of the Chaos Furnace was an entrance to another world, they had no concrete evidence and dared not act rashly. Coupled with the Human Race's pressure, they could only continue to respond as events unfolded.
And so, across the great domain battlefields, around each entrance to the Chaos Furnace, the armies of both races—and the powerhouses of both races—fought without cease. Every moment, massive numbers of soldiers from both sides perished in the void, their souls utterly destroyed.
In the Qingyang Domain, Luo Tinghe single-handedly pinned down three False King Lords. Though it was grueling, she could still maintain the situation for the time being.
Meanwhile, in another great domain, a different Human Race Ninth Grade was going all out to hunt down an Ink Clan False King Lord.
This Human Race Ninth Grade was of imposing build, wielding a long spear. Unlike Yang Kai's Free and Unfettered Spear Art, which pursued liberty and spontaneity, every thrust of his spear was overwhelmingly grand, its momentum absolutely peerless. The False King Lord being chased was beaten so thoroughly he could only bleed and suffer injuries without any chance to fight back. Had another False King Lord not been providing support from the side, he would have long since been killed!
The Great Battle Heaven's Wei Junyang!
Among the newly ascended Ninth Grades of the Human Race in recent millennia, Luo Tinghe was not the only one—Wei Junyang from the Great Battle Heaven was another. He was also an old acquaintance of Yang Kai's. Back in the Xuanming Army, he had served under Yang Kai as a Division Commander.
He was one of the Human Race's early cultivators with the potential to advance to Ninth Grade. After the situation in the Xuanming Domain stabilized, he had entered seclusion for intensive cultivation.
Xiang Shan had failed to advance to Ninth Grade, largely due to his earlier drop in rank, but Wei Junyang had no such hidden deficiency. His aptitude might have been somewhat inferior to Xiang Shan's, but his foundation was incomparably solid.
After Luo Tinghe broke through to Ninth Grade, he advanced as well.
However, Mi Jinglun had kept him hidden away all along, never letting him appear in public. It was not until today, when the great battle erupted, that Wei Junyang unleashed the supreme might of a Ninth Grade on this domain battlefield, charging out with devastating force.
Every warrior from the Great Battle Heaven was extremely disciplined, self-reliant, and intensely battle-hungry—and Wei Junyang was no exception.
He did not possess Luo Tinghe's secret arts capable of restraining powerful enemies. All he relied on was the long spear in his hands.
When he first appeared, he headed straight for one of the False King Lords, unleashing the full might of his lifetime of cultivation with devastating completeness, nearly killing that False King Lord on the spot.
Though the False King Lord narrowly escaped with his life, he broke into a cold sweat from sheer terror. From then on, the domain battlefield became the stage for a spectacle: Wei Junyang hunting down a False King Lord. He seemed to have fixated entirely on this one target, adopting a posture that declared he would not rest until his quarry lay dead beneath his spear!
The other False King Lord, seeing the situation had gone critical, immediately intervened to provide support and distraction. This created a three-way chase: Wei Junyang pursuing one False King Lord relentlessly, while the other False King Lord pursued Wei Junyang.
Three figures crisscrossed billions of miles, weaving back and forth across this domain battlefield. Wherever they passed, both the Human Race and Ink Clan armies retreated and gave them a wide berth.
Though Wei Junyang's style of pursuit appeared somewhat reckless, it was precisely because of this decisive, all-or-nothing approach that he could so easily keep two False King Lords occupied, and moreover, maintain an absolutely dominant position.
Otherwise, if he had fought these two False King Lords head-on in a straight battle, the best he could hope for was a stalemate.
The Ink Clan had also committed five False King Lords to this domain. Two were pinned down by Wei Junyang, with the one being chased in constant danger of losing his life. The remaining three were all blocked by Human Race Eighth Grades who had formed battle formations.
On the battlefield, the powerhouses of both sides unleashed their secret techniques and divine arts in a blazing conflict, while the armies of both races wound through like massive serpents, slaughtering each other across different sectors. The fighting was ferocious.
Even the three days that remained felt impossibly long amid these fiercely contested battlefields.
And as time continued to pass, the deadlocked situation gradually became clearer. Aside from the three locations the Ink Clan had already abandoned, control over the Chaos Furnace entrances in the other great domain battlefields was becoming increasingly firm for both sides. On the whole, each had gained something.
As the final moment approached, those Human Race powerhouses whose names were on the lists began to converge toward the Chaos Furnace entrances. They had to enter now. Any later and the entrances would vanish. The war here no longer required their participation—but within the Chaos Furnace, another battle awaited them.
