According to the intelligence gathered by the Mo servants, the Qiankun Furnace was the most enigmatic artifact between heaven and earth — always ethereal and impossible to track. Unless it chose to reveal itself, one could forget about ever finding it.
Moreover, within the Qiankun Furnace was the Heaven-Born Kai Tian Pill, which possessed the miraculous ability to help warriors shatter their own limitations!
Mo Naye was alarmed.
A Heaven-Born Kai Tian Pill that could help warriors break through their limits — didn't that mean the peak Eighth Order human warriors could advance to the Ninth Order if they obtained it?
An ordinary Eighth Order advancing to Ninth Order would be one thing. One or two human Ninth Order Open Heaven cultivators would indeed be formidable, but the Mo Clan had ways to deal with them. But what if this thing fell into
For thousands of years, most of the constraints and pressure the entire Mo Clan had faced stemmed from this menace Yang Kai. Whether it was the peace negotiations between the two races or the distribution of thirty percent of resources, the Mo Clan had been forced to agree to every concession because of this human killing star's existence.
The peace negotiations in particular — at the time, the Mo Clan had calculated that once more King Master-level powerhouses emerged on their side, Yang Kai's deterrent value as a mere Eighth Order Open Heaven cultivator would be drastically reduced.
But now, before the Mo Clan's Domain Lords could even advance to King Master, the Qiankun Furnace had actually appeared.
If Yang Kai obtained the Heaven-Born Kai Tian Pill and broke through to Ninth Order Open Heaven, then all of the Mo Clan's years of effort and compromise would become nothing but a complete joke.
Given this man's overwhelming strength and ruthless methods, once he advanced to Ninth Order Open Heaven, no one on the Mo Clan's side would be able to match him!
Therefore, once he had worked through the implications, alarm bells blared in Mo Naye's mind. Under no circumstances — absolutely under no circumstances — could he allow Yang Kai to obtain the Heaven-Born Kai Tian Pill. He could not let him advance to Ninth Order, or the Mo Clan would be doomed!
That the Qiankun Furnace would appear at this particular moment — was it possible that some unseen heavenly will was protecting the fortune of the human race?
But how were they supposed to prevent Yang Kai from seizing the Heaven-Born Kai Tian Pill? They were currently trapped within the Qiankun Furnace's shadow, unable to escape. They appeared to be close to one another, but in reality the space was utterly chaotic.
The information coming from Meng Que showed that the Qiankun Furnace's shadow had appeared not just here, but across all the major battlefield domains. Additionally, it had appeared in the Void Domain as well…
Combining all these reports, the Mo servants of human origin deduced that these shadows were not the Qiankun Furnace's true body, but rather a kind of wondrous projection.
The true Qiankun Furnace's whereabouts remained unknown, but the appearance of the projections meant it was about to reveal itself to the world. Perhaps when the projections fully solidified, the Qiankun Furnace would manifest.
This deduction seemed entirely reasonable. After a brief moment of thought, Mo Naye sent a message to Meng Que, ordering him to have the Mo Clan gather more intelligence from all sides while simultaneously recalling the numerous Innate Domain Lords stationed outside, so they would be prepared for whatever came next.
Though Meng Que had always been somewhat at odds with him and constantly sought to share his authority, the fellow had one virtue — he knew his own limitations. On this matter of grave importance, he did not oppose Mo Naye. He knew that when it came to strategy and scheming, he could not compare, and besides, Mo Naye held the King Master's own appointment. So whatever Mo Naye said, he did.
Putting away his small
Yang Kai might know something…
At that thought, Mo Naye raised his head and looked toward Yang Kai, calling out: "Brother Yang, things have come to this — how about we call it a truce and make peace?"
He'd called him "Yang Kai" when they were at each other's throats, and now he wanted to play "Brother Yang"? Yang Kai didn't even acknowledge him. The man had pursued him with murderous intent not long ago, nearly driving him to the point of having no way up to heaven or down to earth, shouting about how he was dead — and now he wanted a truce?
Did he think Yang Kai was some pushover? Did he have no pride, no dignity?
Mo Naye continued: "Both of us are trapped here now. Why dwell on what happened before? In the end, it was my Mo Clan that suffered the greater loss — so many Innate Domain Lords killed in battle. Brother Yang was wounded, yes, but your life was never truly in danger."
That finally got a reaction out of Yang Kai, who couldn't help but sneer: "Serves you right! All those Domain Lords dying — you brought it on yourselves. If you hadn't tried to scheme against me, they wouldn't have thrown their lives away for nothing. Besides… this place can trap you lot, but do you really think it can trap me?"
Mo Naye's expression shifted rapidly as he suddenly realized he'd overlooked a critical point. Within this bizarre space, he and the many Domain Lords were indeed unable to break free — but what about Yang Kai? This place probably couldn't hold Yang Kai. If he truly wanted to leave, it likely wouldn't be much of a problem.
That was a deeply unpleasant realization…
He quickly suppressed those distracting thoughts. Regardless, Yang Kai was willing to talk to him, and that was a good thing. So he asked: "Brother Yang, do you know what this shadow enveloping us actually is?" After asking, he laughed at himself and added: "Of course Brother Yang knows. After all, this is the legendary Qiankun Furnace — every human powerhouse has heard of it at least in passing."
"Oh?" Yang Kai raised an eyebrow. "It seems the connection between Ink Nests hasn't been severed after all. You can still gather intelligence from other locations?"
Mo Naye showed a hint of pride: "The Ink Nest has its own mysteries. Since you know this is the Qiankun Furnace, Brother Yang, do you perhaps know more about it?"
Yang Kai was dismissive: "What if I do? What if I don't?"
