Seeing this, Hu Meier, who was locked away, immediately shouted: "Sister, that's not fair!"
But how could her voice possibly reach anyone outside? She was drenched in anxious sweat but utterly helpless — it was so underhanded. With her sister's strength, toying with a martial artist at the Body Tempering Stage Three was child's play.
If this were a normal conversation, Hu Meier was certain Yang Kai wouldn't reveal any embarrassing moments. But if her sister was secretly pulling some trick, all bets were off.
Inside the room, Hu Jiao'er suddenly stood up again and walked step by step toward the fragrant bed. She glanced back with a smile: "Wait a second, let me grab something for you."
"Alright." Yang Kai's brow furrowed slightly. He had a vague feeling that something was off, but he couldn't quite put his finger on what.
Reaching the fragrant bed, Hu Jiao'er bent down and half-knelt on the mattress, rummaging around for something. Her thin clothing could do nothing to conceal her countless charms — the fabric clung tightly to her body, wrapping around her perfectly rounded, pert hips and displaying an irresistible allure.
Yang Kai's heartbeat quickened considerably, and his throat felt like it was on fire.
After a long while, Hu Jiao'er was still maintaining that provocative pose when suddenly, a delicate cry escaped her lips.
"What is it?" Yang Kai's expression changed, and he rushed forward.
At that very moment, Hu Jiao'er stumbled backward off the bed and fell straight into Yang Kai's arms, clinging to him tightly.
Their feet tangled together, and before either of them knew what happened, they both tumbled onto the bed.
Hu Jiao'er was on top, Yang Kai on the bottom. The warm, soft body pressed against him made Yang Kai's throat even drier. Staring at the beautiful face so close he could almost touch it and those dewy, crimson lips, Yang Kai forcibly suppressed the desire surging in his chest and asked: "What happened?"
"There's a bug!" Hu Jiao'er was playing the part to the hilt, and her acting was quite impressive. Her small hands gripped Yang Kai's clothes without letting go, and she looked every bit like a startled bird.
Yang Kai couldn't help but laugh: "Where?"
"Over there…"
Following the direction Hu Jiao'er indicated, Yang Kai indeed spotted a bug crawling slowly along. He thought to himself that women were certainly something — a martial artist already, yet a tiny bug could frighten her like this. He reached out, pinched the bug dead, and then patted her delicate shoulder: "It's fine now. I've taken care of it."
"There must be more…" Hu Jiao'er pressed her advantage, glancing around as she spoke. Strands of her fine hair brushed across Yang Kai's cheeks and lips, and the composure he had just managed to restore was provoked all over again.
"There aren't any more." Yang Kai felt this was getting out of hand. If anyone burst in right now and saw him and Hu Meier in this position, no amount of water from three rivers and five lakes could wash it clean.
"Really none?" A flicker of surprise crossed Hu Jiao'er's eyes — she hadn't expected Yang Kai to actually remain unmoved and not take advantage of her vulnerable state to grope around.
If Yang Kai had actually made a move just now, he would have certainly ended up with broken limbs.
Though she was inwardly frustrated, Hu Jiao'er didn't push further. Instead, she docilely climbed off Yang Kai.
Yang Kai sat up as well and looked up at Hu Meier with some embarrassment, only to find that she too was blushing deeply. She hobbled over and sat down beside him.
"What happened to your foot?" Yang Kai asked.
"I think I twisted it when I fell." Hu Jiao'er's first scheme having failed, she immediately conceived another. She thought to herself: today I'll sacrifice a little — I'm going to dig out your heart and see whether it's black or red.
