In the distance, five Domain Lords unleashed their power, shaking heaven and earth. Everyone on the warship sensed it immediately, turning their heads to gaze in that direction.
Among the five young people, a young man dressed entirely in white — even his hair snow-white — spoke with a grim expression: "Ink Clan powerhouses are making their move. That kind of pressure… it's a Domain Lord!"
Another young woman standing beside him, also dressed in white but with long black hair draping over her shoulders, nodded: "More than one. At least three, possibly more."
This black-haired young woman had sweet features, and bore a striking resemblance to Yang Kai.
"Did one of the Hunters get exposed?" Among the five young people, a plain-looking young man walked to the ship's railing, his expression tinged with worry.
Recently, hidden Hunters had been getting discovered from time to time, drawing Ink Clan pursuers, though the Ink Clan forces that showed up were at most Lord-level. Over the past few days, they had rescued quite a few Hunters from the Ink Clan's clutches. But this was the first time they had detected Domain Lords making a move — and more than one at that.
"With Domain Lords personally stepping in, they won't stand a chance." Standing beside the plain-looking young man was a cold, proud-looking woman with an air of keep-your-distance about her. The only hint of softness in her expression flickered across her eyes whenever they fell upon the plain-looking young man.
"Should we go save them?" The last of the five young people, a crew-cut youth, looked eager and ready to go. "I've never fought a Domain Lord before. Senior Brother, let's go rescue them!" That last line was directed at the plain-looking young man.
The little stone person who had been staring listlessly into the void suddenly bounced onto the crew-cut youth's head, hammering its chest with both fists and letting out excited roars, its fighting spirit surging.
"Save them!" the plain-looking young man said with determination. "Old sir, change course — we're going to save those people!"
The Bixi clone couldn't be bothered with him. Your master is over there — what do you need to rescue him for? Before he notices you lot over here, you should be hightailing it out of Xiangsi Domain. If he finds out that all you little ones came running over, I won't be able to explain myself.
Seeing that the Bixi clone showed no intention of helping and was instead pulling farther away, the plain-looking young man quickly called out: "Old sir, not that direction — over there!"
While he was still shouting, the cold, proud woman had already leaped off the warship, hurtling straight toward the source of the commotion.
The crew-cut youth's spirits soared instantly. "Second Senior Sister, wait for me!"
With that, he took off after his Second Senior Sister, moving at incredible speed. The little stone person had tried to grab hold of his hair, but the crew-cut youth had none to speak of. Left with no choice, it clamped onto his ears instead to keep from being flung off.
"Don't be reckless!" the plain-looking young man called out, but his junior brother and sister were already far ahead. Cursing under his breath, he hurried after them.
"Young Miss, let's go too!" the white-haired young man said in a low voice, drifting off the ship alongside the young woman beside him.
The ancient vicious beast that had been resting with its eyes closed rose to its feet. The little girl who had been stroking its fur nimbly climbed onto its back. In the next instant, flames erupted beneath the creature's paws and it soared into the sky.
Before leaving, the little girl didn't forget to reach back and pull the two little page boys along.
In the blink of an eye, the Bixi warship was completely empty.
"I…"
"You…"
The Bixi clone wanted to cry but had no tears. He had been planning to quietly shuttle these little ones to the Domain Gate and get them out of Xiangsi Domain as fast as possible, but who could have guessed they would be this impulsive?
This was bad, this was bad!
He knew he shouldn't have brought them away from the Star Boundary. He cursed himself for being too soft-hearted, falling for their nonsense about just going on a casual tour to see the sights of the myriad realms. Now look — every last one of them had abandoned him, leaving him alone on a warship in utter solitude.
The Bixi clone had truly exhausted himself worrying over them.
With no other choice, he quickly changed course and raced after them, sending a message to his other clone at the same time: "What's the situation over there? How did a fight suddenly break out?"
The reply came back: "Ran into five Domain Lords. No big deal!"
The Bixi clone was stunned. "Five Domain Lords and you say no big deal? Hide quickly — those Domain Lords are not to be trifled with. They're all Innate Domain Lords, each one comparable to the human race's top Eighth-Order masters."
"No need. It's only five Domain Lords."
The Bixi clone froze. He didn't recall ever having a habit of talking big — what was going on with the other clone? Five Domain Lords, and he said "only"? From the sound of it, he wasn't taking those five Domain Lords seriously at all. Granted, even if the original body were there, he could probably handle only one Domain Lord. Against two working together, he would certainly be on the losing end — though as a Bixi, excelling in defense, he could at least keep himself safe even against two.
There was no time to dwell on it. All he could do was say: "The little ones have all gone running over there. Please don't let anything happen to them."
The other side asked: "How many little ones came?"
The Bixi clone sighed and replied in exasperation: "Yang Xiao, Yang Xue, Yang Kai's third disciple, and then Xiaoxiao, Qiongqi, Liuyan — even Xiaohong and Xiaohei are here."
The other clone was clearly startled: "They all came?!" The ones left behind at the Star Boundary were basically these kids.
