Chapter 5515: Xuan Ming Domain

Even with one avatar and three spirit clones—even at the Creation Realm—the toll was enormous. Add to that the trap Mu had left behind all those years ago, and Ink naturally fell into slumber very quickly.

Two thousand to five thousand years...

Yang Kai mused silently. After two thousand years, he would probably need to visit the Primordial Heaven Great Seal from time to time to check on the situation. Otherwise, if something went wrong over there, Wu Kuang would have no way to get a message out.

While he was lost in thought, Ink urged impatiently, "Your turn."

Yang Kai chuckled softly but said nothing. He simply activated his technique, and in an instant, a massive amount of pure Ink Force was drawn out from the wounds on Ink's body and refined by Yang Kai.

Ink's expression changed drastically. "Devour! It's you!"

The characteristics of the Devouring Heaven Battle Art were far too distinctive—how could Ink fail to recognize them? And under the heavens, the only one capable of wielding the Devouring Heaven Battle Art was a single person!

After all, this Eternal Mysterious Art had been created by that very person.

Yang Kai withdrew the Devouring Heaven Battle Art, a faint smile on his face. He hadn't said a word.

But from the look of it, Ink seemed to fear Devour greatly. Then again, it made sense—the Devouring Heaven Battle Art could refine all things for one's own use, and even the power of Ink was no exception. That was indeed a headache for Ink.

In truth, the reason the Primordial Heaven Great Seal had been able to keep Ink sealed for all these years was in no small part due to Devour's efforts. He had continuously refined and devoured the power of Ink, weakening its strength.

Of the Ten Great Masters including Cang, if the one Ink respected most was Mu, then the one it feared most was Devour.

"You're still alive." Ink stared at Yang Kai with utter disbelief.

Yang Kai continued to smile, saying nothing.

On the other side, in the Wind Storm Domain, Xiao Xiao and Wu Qing—the two human Ninth-Order Masters—exchanged a glance, both wearing expressions of confusion. They knew full well the situation on the Void Domain side, but what was the Ink Giant Spirit God shouting about? Who was Devour? One of the Ten Great Masters?

And how had Yang Kai gotten mixed up with this being called Devour?

Though the two Ninth-Order Masters couldn't figure it out, the Ink Giant Spirit God was clearly shaken—that was good news for them. They hastily activated their secret arts, and in an instant, the mysterious runes on the locked arm of the Ink Giant Spirit God surged upward, transforming into massive chains that seemed poised to bind half of its entire body.

Ink snapped back to its senses and hurriedly resisted.

Being able to lock down a single arm of the Ink Giant Spirit God was already the limit of what the two human Ninth-Order Masters could achieve. Though they had gained ground earlier while its mind was unsettled, now that it was fighting back, all their previous efforts came to nothing.

In that moment, the mysterious runes on the arm flickered between vanishing and reappearing at a furious rate.

Seeing this, Yang Kai let out a low shout. "Ink, don't you dare get cocky!"

With a sweeping motion of his hand, purification light of the utmost density erupted from his palm and slammed toward Ink.

Wherever the light reached, the ink-colored substance dissolved. The pure light seeped into every crevice, flowing through the wounds of the Ink Giant Spirit God and attempting to penetrate its body.

Ink roared again and again as dense Ink Force churned and spilled from its body, clashing against the purification light.

The two lights—one white, one black—collided and dissolved each other in a ceaseless struggle.

Yang Kai did not deploy the Stone Tribe this time, as there was no need.

Unlike back at No Return Pass, Ink was essentially a sitting duck here—unable to move. He only needed to channel the power of the Yellow Crystal and Blue Crystal, merging them into purification light.

Back at No Return Pass, facing an Ink Clan Lord, deploying the Stone Tribe army could catch the enemy off guard.

The Stone Tribe still served a great purpose, and until it was absolutely necessary, Yang Kai was unwilling to sacrifice them.

The blinding white light continued without end, ceaseless and unrelenting. Correspondingly, the Yellow Crystal and Blue Crystal began to be consumed at a visible rate.

Yang Kai couldn't afford to worry about that. Brother Huang and Sister Lan had plenty more of these things anyway—if he ran out, he could simply make another trip to ask for more.

He had never channeled the purification light like this before.

The two-colored lights clashed and struggled across the vast emptiness of space, but Yang Kai was ultimately unable to break through the barrier of Ink Force. The power of the Ink Giant Spirit God seemed endless and inexhaustible.

While he exerted himself on this end, Xiao Xiao and Wu Qing in the Wind Storm Domain immediately found things much easier. Though they didn't know exactly what Yang Kai had done, it was clear he was pinning down a significant portion of the Ink Giant Spirit God's attention.

The two Ninth-Order Masters showed no mercy. The mighty forces of heaven and earth surged as they joined hands, and in mere moments, the chains binding the Ink Giant Spirit God's arm grew considerably thicker and sturdier.

This confrontation lasted a full two hours—long enough for the Yellow Crystal and Blue Crystal in his Small World to be consumed to the volume of two small mountains, and long enough for the Sun Mark and Moon Mark on the backs of both his hands to start growing scorching hot.

He had originally harbored some hope that channeling the purification light might allow him to completely eliminate the Ink Giant Spirit God before him, but after doing a quick calculation, he realized he had been indulging in wishful thinking.

The Ink Giant Spirit God's aura had indeed weakened somewhat, but Yang Kai estimated that even if he exhausted every last bit of his Yellow Crystal and Blue Crystal, he still wouldn't be able to actually destroy it.

Moreover, if this continued much longer, Yang Kai wasn't sure whether his Sun Mark and Moon Mark could hold up. The scorching heat on the backs of his hands was growing more intense, giving him the feeling they were about to burst at any moment.

But it wasn't without results. At the very least, with his assistance, the two human Ninth-Order Masters had established a firmer hold on the Ink Giant Spirit God.

Furthermore, after this upheaval, the Ink Giant Spirit God would not be able to recover its vitality for at least a hundred years.

Perhaps he should come by from time to time to help ease the burden on the two Ninth-Order Masters... Yang Kai mused silently.
