Chapter 5513. Unable to Move

Their eyes locked. Yang Kai drew a finger across his own throat in a childish threat, then plunged into the portal without looking back.

The Ink Race King Master was practically ready to explode!

His figure flickered as he moved to give chase, but he quickly froze in place, his expression shifting.

He couldn't leave.

Not-Return Pass was now the Ink Race's most important rear base. Too many King Master Ink Nests and Domain Lord Ink Nests had been placed here. Of all the Ink Race King Masters still in existence, he was the only one left. If he departed and something unexpected happened at Not-Return Pass, it would inevitably destabilize the entire Ink Race's position.

So even though he desperately wanted to personally hunt down that Human Race Eighth-Order and tear him apart, he suppressed the restless impulse in his heart.

"Your Majesty..." A Domain Lord stepped forward to ask for instructions.

The King Master hadn't given chase, and they didn't dare pursue either. Over the past half year, three Domain Lords had already died one after another under that Human Race Eighth-Order's spear — and this was without the man even deliberately targeting them for assassination.

That man's primary objective was the King-rank Ink Nests. Every Ink Race member had figured this out. If his two sneak attacks had been deliberately aimed at killing Domain Lords, certainly more than three would have met their end.

The opponent's strength was beyond imagination.

Chasing after him now, without the King Master leading the charge — what if the opponent was lying in ambush outside the portal? No one wanted to throw their life away so easily.

But if the King Master gave the order, they would have no choice but to go, no matter how afraid they were.

Fortunately, the Ink Race King Master understood this as well. He had witnessed Yang Kai's formidable power with his own eyes, and most of his Domain Lords were already injured. So after only a brief struggle, he said in a deep voice: "No need to pursue!"

The Domain Lords felt as though they'd been granted a pardon.

They looked around, and all of them felt heavy-hearted.

There was no other way about it — the losses were simply too great.

Setting aside the death of one Domain Lord in battle, a full four King Master Ink Nests had been destroyed, and over a dozen Domain Lord Ink Nests had been razed to the ground.

Initially, only two Ink Nests had fallen to that Human Race Eighth-Order. But when that blinding white light erupted, it instantly destroyed every Ink Nest engulfed within — including the other two King Master Ink Nests.

Furthermore, over a dozen Domain Lords had their aura drop to Lord level, and the remaining Domain Lords who had been touched by the white light had all suffered some degree of power loss.

What truly sent a chill down their spines was that even the King Master's aura seemed to have weakened considerably...

Half a year ago, that Human Race cultivator had suddenly appeared, destroying a total of five King Master Ink Nests and killing two Domain Lords.

This time, though only four King Master Ink Nests were destroyed and one Domain Lord killed, in terms of the scale of destruction, it was even worse than last time.

This didn't even account for the low-ranking Ink Race who were caught in the Purifying Light and instantly reduced to nothing.

Every powerful Ink Race member now had only one question in their mind — what exactly was that technique, that it possessed such terrifying suppressive power against the Ink Race?

They had only seen the Human Race cultivator suddenly summon two armies, each consisting of a million Stone Clan warriors, and then everything just... happened.

Now those two armies of a million Stone Clan each had all turned into rubble and ceased to exist.

Just as the Domain Lords were still shaken with lingering fear, Yang Kai was already waiting outside the portal. Alas, no matter how long he waited, no pursuers appeared, which disappointed him considerably.

After confirming the Ink Race didn't dare to give chase, Yang Kai then leisurely sealed the portal.

Though the Ink Race still had ways to reopen it, doing so would require some cost, and creating trouble for the enemy was something Yang Kai was only too happy to do.

Taking stock of his gains and losses this time, Yang Kai was fairly satisfied. The only thing that pained him was the loss of two million Stone Clan warriors.

But there was nothing to be done about it. If you wanted to deal with an Ink Race King Master, you had to pay some price. And the only means he currently had to contend with a King Master was to harness a massive number of Stone Clan to activate the Purifying Light — something not even the Sun-Moon Divine Wheel could match.

The Sun-Moon Divine Wheel was certainly his most powerful technique, but it didn't possess the special property of suppressing the Ink Race.

After the portal had been resealed, Yang Kai finally caught his breath. This risky operation had indeed yielded tremendous gains, but his own injuries were far from light. At the final moment, to activate the Solar Power and Lunar Power within the Stone Clan, he had faced the combined attacks of numerous Domain Lords and had no time whatsoever to block or dodge.

Though most of the attacks had been dispersed or weakened by the Purifying Light, with so many Domain Lords attacking at once, some inevitably landed on him.

None of them were fatal wounds. Yang Kai only tidied himself up briefly without bothering with any deliberate recovery, and set off in a certain direction at full speed. From that direction, enormous commotions were constantly erupting — something Yang Kai had sensed the moment he passed through the portal.

The last time he had come to the Void Domain, the great armies of Human and Ink races had been clashing fiercely, the battle raging with full intensity, the entire domain nearly turned into a battlefield.

Now, arriving once more, all that remained here were the various traces left in the wake of that great battle.
