Chapter 5484: Little Brother Is in Danger

January 17, 2020 · 6 min read · 1,142 words

Yang Kai had never channeled Light of Purification on such a massive scale before. Drawing upon the Yin and Yang forces of the two Little Stone Clan armies, the merged Light of Purification blazed with such intensity that it seemed capable of illuminating the entire Chaotic Death Domain.

Beneath the pure white radiance, the thick Ink clouds began to dissolve rapidly. Before long, the Ink Race Master hidden within was fully revealed, his face twisted in shock, clearly unable to comprehend what was happening.

The all-conquering Ink Force—the very power that made humanity and every other living creature tremble with dread—was being suppressed by a different force entirely!

Panic surged through his heart.

The two armies, comprised of opposing attributes, wove back and forth under the pull of the Sun Mark and the Moon Mark, transforming into an enormous millstone. With each revolution of the Yin-Yang Millstone, the Ink Force within the Ink Master's body drained away a little more.

Countless Little Stone Clan warriors had the energy extracted from their bodies, rapidly shrinking back to their normal size.

The Ink Master's attacks grew increasingly savage. As the Ink Force surged outward, no Little Stone Clan warrior within a hundred li could approach.

Yet in the span of just a few short moments, he could feel his own power draining at an alarming rate. Only then did he spot Yang Kai in the distance, finally understanding who was behind this.

The King erupted in fury, letting out a piercing roar. His body, which had been indistinguishable from a human form, suddenly ballooned outward, transforming into a grotesque colossus. Relying on his formidable strength, he forcibly broke through the encirclement of the two Little Stone Clan armies and charged straight toward Yang Kai.

However, his aura was now fluctuating wildly. Under the bombardment of Light of Purification on that scale, his strength had clearly been severely diminished.

Yang Kai had no intention of fighting him to the death. The moment the Ink Master broke free, Yang Kai spun around and fled, shouting incantations as he ran: "Big Brother Yellow! Big Sister Blue! Little brother is in danger! Help!"

The pursuing King's brow furrowed. He had no idea who this "Big Brother Yellow" and "Big Sister Blue" were, but his mind was consumed by rage, leaving no room for deliberation. All he wanted was to seize Yang Kai and tear him to shreds to quell the hatred burning in his chest.

The Chaotic Death Domain was not home to just those two Little Stone Clan armies engaged in battle—there were many others as well.

They varied in scale and numbers. Some numbered in the tens of thousands, while others ranged into the hundreds of thousands or even millions. The two armies Yang Kai had first encountered were actually among the larger ones.

He had thought it remarkable enough that Big Brother Yellow and Big Sister Blue had cultivated two such armies, but there were far more than that.

Now it seemed as though the entire Chaotic Death Domain had been engulfed by the Little Stone Clan's wars, leaving Yang Kai clicking his tongue in amazement.

Without exception, every Little Stone Clan force would immediately cease fighting upon sensing the Ink Master's aura and converge to attack him together.

However, they were unable to truly stop the Ink Master. Even with Yang Kai drawing upon their power to fuel the Light of Purification, he could only delay the pursuing King by a brief moment.

Yang Kai fled deeper and deeper into the Chaotic Death Domain, shouting without cease.

Until, at a certain moment, he suddenly sensed two powerful auras approaching from ahead. Overjoyed, Yang Kai raised his hand in greeting: "Big Brother Yellow! Big Sister Blue! Little brother has come to see you!"

The Ink Master pursuing close behind also detected the auras of Zhuo Zhao and You Ying. His expression changed instantly. He slowed his advance, focused his senses to observe for a moment, then turned and tried to flee.

He had clearly sensed the immense power of Zhuo Zhao and You Ying, and now he finally understood why Yang Kai had lured him here—he had come to summon reinforcements.

But the moment he moved to retreat, a golden chain suddenly shot out from behind him. The chain radiated an overwhelmingly dense Yang-attribute aura, unmistakably the power of Big Brother Yellow.

The chain seemed to possess a will of its own. With a swift roll and snap, it lashed toward the Ink Master.

The King was no weakling either. The Ink Force surged as he raised his palm and shattered the chain away—only for the broken links to suddenly consolidate with renewed force. A small head popped out from within. Big Brother Yellow had at some point hidden himself inside the chain, and now he revealed himself, blowing a gentle breath at the King.

That single breath seemed unremarkable, yet it sent the Ink Master tumbling end over end seventeen or eighteen times.

By the time he managed to steady himself, a young girl in a pale blue dress was already standing before him, gazing down at him with innocent, guileless eyes.

The Ink Master raged, throwing a punch.

The young girl lightly lifted the hem of her skirt with both hands and pressed down with a delicate step, her foot landing squarely on the crest of his fist.

The girl's figure didn't budge an inch. The King, however, was sent flying backward like an arrow loosed from a bow.

Terror gripped his heart!

What in the world were these two little figures that had appeared out of nowhere? They had tossed him around with absurd ease. What alarmed the Ink Master even more was the deep, instinctive fear he felt toward them—a primal dread that resonated in the very depths of his being.

He poured every ounce of his strength into stabilizing his body, but by then Big Brother Yellow and Big Sister Blue had already transformed into two streaks of light—one golden yellow, one azure blue. The lights wove and danced around the King in dizzying spirals. At first, their trails were still visible, but gradually even those faded from sight. All that remained was a great net woven from yellow and blue, enclosing the Ink Master at its center.

Yang Kai heard the King's furious roars and howls.

In the next instant, the yellow and blue lights merged violently, transforming into pure white radiance. Big Brother Yellow and Big Sister Blue simultaneously halted their movements and drifted gracefully away.

Yang Kai looked toward where the Ink Master had been. He could no longer see any trace of the King—all that remained was a white cocoon of light radiating a pure, gentle glow.

That light was of the same origin as the Light of Purification he had channeled, but incomparably more refined.
