Void Land's Star City had managed to attract a tremendous amount of popularity, and in just a few short years it had risen to possess the capital of a large-scale Star City. The sole reason for this was none other than the Tianyuan Zhengyin Pill.
The recipe for the Tianyuan Zhengyin Pill wasn't exactly a great secret. After all, it was Yang Kai who had originally obtained it from the Danxia Auction, and the Danxia Blessed Land certainly kept a backup copy in their archives.
The reason they couldn't refine it wasn't because the alchemists of Danxia Blessed Land lacked the skill — it was because they were missing the most critical ingredient: Heaven and Earth Source Liquid!
Yang Kai possessed Heaven and Earth Source Liquid, which meant he could refine the pills.
As for Heaven and Earth Source Liquid itself, it could only be born during the initial opening of heaven and earth. Thus, throughout the entirety of the Three Thousand Worlds, it had essentially become extinct. Gazing at the churning chaos in the distance, Yang Kai sank into deep contemplation.
After a good while, he finally spoke: "Yue He, go find Luan Baifeng and have her meet me at the Domain Gate."
Yue He replied, "I will. But Young Master may have to wait a while — they all scattered to explore the area earlier, so I'm not sure where any of them are at the moment."
"That's fine, there's no rush!" Yang Kai waved his hand.
Yue He then departed.
Su Yingxue glanced at the two of them and felt that it wouldn't be proper for her to remain alone with Yang Kai — an unmarried man and woman in solitude — so she said, "I'll go look for them too," before flashing into the void.
One month later, when Luan Baifeng received the message and rushed to the Domain Gate's location, she found Yang Kai squatting frowning on a broken Spirit Province he had apparently found somewhere, a stone in his hand as he scratched and drew upon the ground.
The Spirit Province wasn't large — only a few miles across — and Yang Kai had fixed it in place in the void with his power, barely a hundred miles from the Domain Gate.
"My Lord!" Luan Baifeng descended before Yang Kai.
Yang Kai raised a hand, gesturing for her to wait a moment, and continued his scribbling on the ground.
Luan Baifeng had no idea what he was doing. She lowered her gaze and saw hasty, careless strokes forming some kind of doodle. At first she curled her lip dismissively, but upon a closer look, her delicate eyebrows shot up and she began to examine it with genuine interest.
By the time Luan Baifeng realized that what lay before her was actually a formation array, she couldn't help but let out a soft laugh. With her accomplishments in the Dao of Formations, she could naturally spot many illogical aspects of this array — though it wasn't entirely without merit.
She wondered why Yang Kai had suddenly taken an interest in formation arrays, and assumed he had called her over so she could teach him the Dao of Formations.
"Find anything?" Yang Kai asked without looking up.
"Mm..." Luan Baifeng's long lashes fluttered. "Nothing much."
Yang Kai stopped what he was doing and looked up at her with a knowing smile.
Luan Baifeng pursed her lips. "Really, nothing."
Yang Kai extended his hand toward her.
Luan Baifeng looked momentarily indignant, then adopted a pitiful expression. "My Lord, why must you bully a helpless little woman like me? It wasn't easy for me to accumulate what little savings I have."
Yang Kai glanced at her chest. "Hardly little."
Luan Baifeng thrust out her ample bosom, the gentle tremble threatening to burst her clothing, yet she deliberately took two steps back, her cheeks flushing crimson as she fidgeted coyly. "My Lord, I sell my skills, not my body."
Yang Kai scolded with a laugh: "Cut the chatter. Hand over the space ring!"
Luan Baifeng's face immediately turned wistful.
Yang Kai remained unmoved.
After a long moment, the woman finally gritted her pearly teeth, pulled the ring from her finger, and tossed it to him, sniffling as though about to weep. "A great big man bullying a woman — have you no shame!"
Yang Kai paid her no heed and sent his spiritual sense into the space ring to examine its contents. Suddenly, his brow rose, and he withdrew a streak of purple qi.
The purple qi slithered like a spirit serpent, simultaneously ethereal and tangible, profoundly mysterious. Most remarkably, this strand of purple qi contained energy that was extraordinarily pure yet utterly peculiar.
"What is this?" Yang Kai asked.
