Chapter 4339: Migration

January 17, 2020 · 5 min read · 1,062 words

Yue He followed Mo Mei's gaze, and what she saw made her instinctively reach up to cover her red lips—for in that direction, amidst the trembling earth and shaking mountains, an enormous head had abruptly appeared.

The head was impossibly massive, resembling that of a giant turtle, and it was positioned right beneath the Yang Spirit Ground. The entire Yang Spirit Ground sat atop this head.

A sudden realization struck Yue He. She shot into the air and looked around, and saw that beneath each of the four Spirit Grounds—Wood, Fire, Water, and Gold—massive legs far too thick to be believed had emerged. Beneath the Yin Spirit Ground, there was unmistakably a tail...

Her mind involuntarily pieced together the image—the entire Void Land was being carried on the back of a colossal turtle!

Yue He was stunned!

She had lived here for quite some time, yet never once had she imagined such an enormous secret lay hidden beneath the Void Land. Combined with the old man who bore a turtle shell and had appeared so abruptly the other day, she began to form a rough conjecture.

The many Open Heaven realm cultivators present also caught a glimpse of Bixi's true form, and every one of them was filled with shock—though far more felt was exhilaration.

"Roar..." Bixi raised his head and let loose an earth-shattering, unending cry that shook the heavens, then slowly rotated his body. Following the direction Yang Kai had indicated, he calmly set his four legs into motion and began carrying the Void Land toward the Star Exchange Market.

His movements were not fast, but his speed was by no means slow. Within the Void Land, everyone felt that after a brief period of acceleration, the entire land was hurtling through the void like a bolt of lightning.

Mo Mei's expression turned to one of realization: "So this was the Sect Master's plan all along."

With the Void Land's current strength and the enemies it was likely to face, they could only hold onto one thing—their headquarters or the Star Exchange Market. The other would inevitably have to be abandoned. But if they could relocate the entire Void Land to the side of the Star Exchange Market, that dilemma would cease to exist. The question was, how could one possibly relocate a headquarters? Yet now, such a difficulty meant nothing in the face of Bixi's power.

In all of the Three Thousand Worlds, probably only the Void Land could accomplish something like this. No Grotto-Heaven or Blessed Land could ever replicate it.

With the divine Bixi now moving, the rest of the affairs no longer required Yang Kai's attention. He only needed to indicate the direction, and Bixi would carry the Void Land toward the Star Exchange Market.

The entire process would take roughly seven or eight days.

Pang Duo had received Yang Kai's orders and had already taken a team ahead to scout the situation at the Star Exchange Market.

Previously, Yun Xinghua and the others had been stationed at the Star Exchange Market, only to be completely wiped out by the Heavenly Sword Alliance. What condition the Star Exchange Market was currently in, nobody knew. Since they intended to restore its prosperity, and all future efforts would center on the Star Exchange Market, it naturally had to be carefully managed.

Inside the Dragon Peak, Yang Kai sat across from the old Bixi with a chessboard between them. Xiao Hong and Xiao Hei stood to the side, pouring tea and serving. The old Bixi was a masterful chess player, and Yang Kai's amateur skills were no match whatsoever. In a matter of moments he was thoroughly defeated, left scratching his ears and his cheeks in frustration.

Bixi found it tedious: "Your chess is truly terrible, boy. Playing with you is no fun at all."

Yang Kai shot him a sideways glare, half-tempted to flip the board. After spending a few days together, they had grown quite familiar with one another. Yang Kai found that despite this old man's profound strength, he carried no airs about him and had an easygoing demeanor—so Yang Kai naturally stopped being so formal.

Just as he was racking his brain for a way to turn the game around, Yue He suddenly flashed into the room: "Young Master, the Star Exchange Market is nearly in sight."

"Oh? Already? That was fast!" Yang Kai hurried to his feet, casually tossing his chess piece onto the board and mangling the game state beyond recognition. He patted off his rear and stood: "Come on, let's go take a look!"

The old Bixi grabbed hold of him: "Where do you think you're going? Finish this game first!"

Yang Kai lowered his head to glance at the board, then chuckled: "The game's all scrambled now—what's there to finish? I'll come back and play with you when I have time."

Bixi was having none of it: "You little brat, always trying to weasel your way out of things! You're no good!"

Yang Kai replied: "Business comes first. We have plenty of days ahead of us—why be in such a rush, old man?"

Bixi shook his head: "I don't care. You're not leaving until this game is finished."

Yang Kai had already endured his humiliation multiple times over the past few days. The old man had a nasty habit of verbally belittling Yang Kai while simultaneously crushing him at chess, all while looking enormously pleased with himself. Perhaps he'd slept too long and found life unbearably dull.

Yang Kai had had absolutely enough! Now that he had an excuse to leave, he had no intention of staying a moment longer.

But the old man had a firm grip on him, and Yang Kai was at a loss. Then his eyes darted to the side, and he pointed at Yue He: "Old man, if you want to play chess, just ask her! Yue He's chess skills are leagues beyond mine—she'll show you just how high the heavens are and how deep the earth goes!"

"Me?" Yue He blinked, pointing at her own nose.

Yang Kai shook off Bixi's grip, dragged Yue He over by force, and pushed her down into his seat. He spoke with great earnestness: "The old man loves chess—keep him company!"

"But Young Master, I..."

"It's decided!" Yang Kai dared not linger. The moment he finished speaking, he vanished.
