Even the Great Demon God, whose strength was beyond compare, could not simply disregard the combined strike of all the Great Emperors within the firmament of the
A roar that shook the heavens erupted from the Great Demon God's mouth, and billowing shockwaves surged forward in a visible wall of force.
Facing that roar head-on, everyone truly comprehended the terror of the Great Demon God for the first time. The might of that single bellow was like an interstellar storm sweeping down from beyond the heavens—the earth and stone on the ground were blasted away in an instant, hurled thousands upon thousands of miles, melting and disintegrating midair.
Where the shockwave swept past, all the Great Emperors' divine abilities were severely weakened. By the time the residual force reached the Great Demon God's body, it barely inflicted any damage whatsoever.

Above the tip of that long spear, a massive black sphere materialized out of thin air, emanating an aura of total annihilation—as though all things were collapsing within.
The Great Demon God reached out to seize the Azure Dragon Spear. Yang Kai raised an eyebrow, his spear accelerating even further as he poured every last shred of his strength into the weapon. Even if he couldn't do anything decisive to this fearsome enemy, he was determined to punch a hole clean through that palm!
The next instant, the enormous hand clenched shut. The black sphere atop the spear tip shattered, and the law of space was smoothed flat by a surge of overwhelming force.
The Great Demon God bared a savage grin at Yang Kai and yanked the spear back with brutal strength. Yang Kai's entire body hurtled toward him uncontrollably, and a fist filled his vision, swelling larger by the second.
A hundred-zhang dragon body was imposing by any measure, yet before the Great Demon God it might as well have been a child standing before a giant. If that fist connected squarely, Yang Kai—half-dragon though he was—would be in dire straits. At worst, his head would explode; at best, his soul would be shaken to its foundations…
In the split second before annihilation, the law of space rippled outward. Yang Kai's entire form turned ethereal in an instant, leaving behind only a phantom silhouette in his original position.
The colossal fist passed through the space where Yang Kai's head had been a heartbeat ago, but the violent force tore through the spatial barrier and still reverberated through his body.
With a cough, Yang Kai spat out a mouthful of blood.
Though he had banished himself at the critical moment and dodged the Great Demon God's lethal blow, the force that shattered through the void left him feeling wretched.
He strained to pull the spear free—only to find he couldn't. His expression changed. A part of him wanted to abandon the Azure Dragon Spear, yet his heart rebelted at the thought. Fighting the Great God Demon meant there was already a vast gap in their strength; without the Azure Dragon Spear—his most devastating weapon—he feared he'd struggle to inflict any meaningful harm.
But that brief reprieve was all the other eight Great Emperors needed to close in once more.
The Iron Blood Banner fluttered, its crimson glow seemingly forged from liquid blood. Zhan Wuhen flew headlong at the Great Demon God and, with the ant-like frame of his mortal form, threw a punch straight into the mountainous fist bearing down on him.
The sight was like an ant shouldering all its might to strike an elephant. By all reason, the elephant should have felt nothing at all—yet under Zhan Wuhen's blow, a thunderous crack echoed from the Great Demon God's arm, and that colossal frame tilted slightly backward.
Their sizes were worlds apart, but Zhan Wuhen was no mere ant. A full-powered strike from a Great Emperor was never without effect.
"Withering Petals!" The Flower Shadow Great Emperor's clear cry rang out, her expression grave. Her slender hand swept through the air as a storm of petals spiraled into a brilliant cascade of multicolored light, blasting straight toward the Great Demon God's left eye.
"Abyss of Hundred-Zhang Ice!" The
"Phantom Finger!" From within a drifting, ethereal aura, a concentrated burst of pure spiritual power erupted. The Phantom Great Emperor's expression was solemn as he thrust one finger toward the Great Demon God, channeling all his strength into this single attack. It bypassed the flesh entirely, striking straight at the Great Demon God's divine soul.
"All beasts under heaven, heed my command—Ten Thousand Beast Decree!" The Beast Martial Great Emperor roared as he unleashed punch after punch. From each fist shadow, spirit beasts of every shape and size surged forth, each one startlingly lifelike. Among them were no small number of Sacred Spirits. In the blink of an eye, they had amassed into an army of thousands, roaring as they charged at the Great Demon God—gnawing, biting, clawing, scratching, leaving nothing untried.

But wherever that flame passed, the void was scorched black, as though heaven and earth themselves could not endure its burning.
The Chaos Sacred Fire—a peerless flame of heaven and earth, no lesser thing than the True Phoenix Fire—capable of incinerating all things under the sky.
The Wondrous Pill Great Emperor had indeed never been skilled in combat. His entire life's energy had been devoted to the art of alchemy, and he had even achieved his path through pill refinement, ascending to the throne of Great Emperor.
Not being skilled in combat, however, did not mean he could not fight.
The Chaos Sacred Fire was his most powerful trump card. He had obtained it by chance in his youth, and after tens of thousands of years of nurturing, its might was something even fellow Great Emperors dared not face head-on.
Against an enemy as formidable as the Great Demon God, the Great Emperors held nothing back. From the very start they unleashed their strongest killing moves, seeking to inflict critical damage—or outright slay him—in the shortest time possible. For even if they could endure, this stretch of heaven and earth could not withstand such a battle. Sooner or later it would be torn apart entirely, and if that came to pass, the Star Boundary would cease to exist.
