I just realized the chapter I updated yesterday got censored. I'll reach out to the editor once they're online to get it sorted.

……

When Yang Kai had advanced to the Third Order Emperor Realm, his soul power had already experienced a explosive surge in strength. But compared to what was happening now, that enhancement was practically nothing!

He had never imagined that when he finally broke through that last barrier with Yu Rumeng, he would receive such an enormous benefit.

Still, while it was unexpected, it made perfect sense.

The primordial yin of a woman who had achieved significant Cultivation typically contained a peculiar kind of power. The stronger the woman, the more massive that power naturally was. There were many techniques in this world that harnessed this energy for Cultivation, though such yin-absorption arts were invariably wicked in nature—the fate of the women used as cultivation furnaces was almost always tragic.

The Yin-Yang Harmony Art that Yang Kai practiced with Su Yan was similar in principle, but it was not a simple absorption technique. It was a dual Cultivation art where both partners could draw certain benefits from each other during the process. In that sense, the Yin-Yang Harmony Art was an orthodox dual Cultivation method, not some dark art.

Yu Rumeng was a Demon Saint—just how terrifying was her primordial yin? When that final barrier was torn apart, the primordial yin energy she had accumulated over an entire lifetime surged outward. Yang Kai absorbed it all, and his soul power experienced a staggering, almost terrifying growth. This was likely because Yu Rumeng was originally from the Charm Demon race, which meant the benefits her primordial yin brought to Yang Kai were not physical but spiritual.

His spiritual sea was expanding ceaselessly, yet Yang Kai felt no discomfort. That dreamlike, murmuring whisper continued to echo softly at his ears, granting his state of mind an unprecedented tranquility.

It was a remarkably peculiar state—one that made Yang Kai linger in it, wishing it could continue forever, until the end of time itself.

But all things must come to an end. When his spiritual sea had expanded to more than three times its original size, the power he had received from Yu Rumeng was gradually fully assimilated, and the whispering murmur slowly subsided.

Because of the Warm Spirit Lotus, Yang Kai's soul power had always been somewhat above his actual realm. Upon advancing to the Third Order Emperor Realm, he had felt that while his soul cultivation fell slightly short of the Half-Saint level, it was far beyond what any ordinary Third Order Emperor or High-Rank Demon King could match.

Now, with a threefold expansion, he had blown past every Half-Saint by a wide margin.

In this world, the only beings whose soul power surpassed his were probably the Demon Saints and the Great Emperors. This mad surge in soul strength made his perception of the world around him far sharper—it felt like being reborn entirely.

He was examining himself with great interest when a soft, delicate moan suddenly reached his ears.

Yang Kai snapped back to awareness. Looking down, he saw Yu Rumeng gazing up at him with a look of tender reproach, her face flushed with a mixture of shyness and irritation. There were faint traces of moisture at the corners of her eyes.

Their gazes met. Yu Rumeng quickly looked away, biting her crimson lip as she pinched Yang Kai hard at the waist.

He sucked in a sharp breath, then leaned down to kiss away the tear stains at the corners of her eyes. Yang Kai began to move gently—this time, pinned beneath him was not one of the exalted Twelve Demon Saints, but a delicate woman experiencing intimacy for the very first time.

Compared to a veteran like Yang Kai, how could a tender blossom like Yu Rumeng possibly endure such overwhelming attention? She was truly driven to the brink, utterly spent.

For three consecutive days and nights, they did not step outside their room. It was an almost scandalous affair.

It wasn't until a moment on the fourth day that Yang Kai slowly opened his eyes in the chamber still heavy with lingering passion. Yu Rumeng lay nestled against his chest, her raven hair scattered about, curled up like a small kitten that had found the most comfortable spot in the world. Her breathing was steady—she was still fast asleep.

For a Demon Saint, this was an exceedingly rare thing. At her level of Cultivation, she had long since transcended the need for sleep. Yet three days and three nights of such exhausting indulgence had left her utterly drained—more tired than if she had fought a battle against a fellow Demon Saint.

His hand gently stroked the smooth expanse of her back. The breathtaking curve where her lower back met her hips drew his gaze. Yang Kai suppressed the surge of desire within him and carefully extracted one arm from beneath Yu Rumeng.

Once he was properly dressed, Yang Kai stepped out of the chamber and into the courtyard.

Inside the courtyard, a small bridge arched over a flowing stream. Ornamental rocks stood tall here and there, and several unidentifiable fruit trees had been planted throughout. It was the season for blossoms—delicate pink flowers hung from every branch, charming and irresistible.

Yang Kai stood beneath one of the trees with his hands clasped behind his back, gazing up at the sky with a distant look in his eyes.

He had actually succeeded! Yu Rumeng had not stopped him! Even after three days and nights together, Yang Kai still found it hard to believe that he had truly broken through Yu Rumeng's final line of defense and claimed her completely.

The words Bei Li Mo and Ming Yue had spoken before had given him some measure of wariness toward Yu Rumeng. This had also been something of a test—if Yu Rumeng still refused him, he would have had to seriously reconsider his plans going forward. He hadn't expected things to proceed so smoothly.

Could it be that Bei Li Mo and Ming Yue were both wrong? A woman willing to share her first night of passion with a man—that undoubtedly meant she held nothing back from him. Otherwise, why would she gamble with her own innocence?

What surprised Yang Kai even more, though, was how forceful his own attitude had been at the time!

That would have been absolutely unthinkable in the past. Usually, the moment Yu Rumeng showed even the slightest resistance, he would never push her. Yet three days ago, his only thoughts had been: either possess her completely, or part ways with her forever. There was no third option.

It seemed that since falling into demonic influence, his temperament had indeed shifted somewhat. Fortunately, the effect wasn't too severe—otherwise, Yang Kai feared he might have become an entirely different person.
