Chapter 3455 — Won

The Wing Demons' skill with the bow was indeed well-deserved. Especially with Boya being a Mid-Grade Demon King — as long as she could maintain sufficient distance, the force she could unleash would be even more terrifying than that of a High-Grade Demon King.

The mountain range was still, a gentle breeze rustling through the trees, sending leaves whispering in the wind.

At some point, the razor-sharp aura that had been locked onto Yang Kai from afar suddenly dissipated. Yang Kai narrowed his eyes in surprise but didn't let his guard drop. Who knew whether this was some trick of Boya's.

It wasn't until a moment later, when Boya's figure flew over at a leisurely pace, that a meaningful smile appeared on Yang Kai's face.

She stopped a hundred zhang in front of Yang Kai — a distance she considered safe enough to give herself time to react to any sudden charge. Tilting her head, she looked him up and down and said, "You're… a strange one."

"Strange how?" Yang Kai chuckled.

Boya shook her head slowly, saying nothing.

She hadn't loosed that arrow not because of any alliance between them. This was a free-for-all, which meant everyone was an enemy. Joining forces with Yang Kai had merely been a convenient way to eliminate the biggest threat — and the facts proved she'd made the right choice. She'd expected a hard fight, but with Yang Kai's cooperation, those dozen-plus Demon Kings had crumbled with almost no resistance at all.

The real reason she'd held her shot was that her instincts told her even if that arrow had managed to wound Yang Kai, she would never be able to weather the storm of his counterattack that would follow. She might very well have perished right here.

This guy was definitely hiding his strength! Thinking back on his earlier performance, Boya grew even more certain of it. So she'd retracted her arrow without hesitation, sparing herself the pain.

"Let's make a deal," Boya said, pursing her lips toward Yang Kai.

"What deal?" Yang Kai frowned at her, wondering what there was left to negotiate at this point. A straight-up fight to the death, with the victor taking all — that was the only way forward.

"How much Demon Crystals did you bet on yourself?" Boya suddenly asked a completely unrelated question.

Yang Kai considered for a moment but didn't hide it. "One hundred million!"

Boya immediately shaped her seductive red lips into a whistle, looking as brazenly flirtatious as could be, her eyes lighting up. "That's a lot!"

"That's none of your business!" Yang Kai snorted. What was wrong with this woman? Was she eyeing his not-yet-won Demon Crystals?

Boya grinned. "Split it with me — half."

"On what grounds?" Yang Kai scoffed.

"Thirty percent!"

"Get lost!" He didn't particularly care about those Demon Crystals, but that didn't mean he'd let someone else covet what was rightfully his.

"Just ten percent? Give me ten percent, and I'll leave right now." Boya wasn't offended in the slightest, still smiling sweetly. "I really don't want to be your enemy, but just walking away feels like a waste. Ten percent can be my labor fee. Don't be so stingy, mister."

"Whether I'm stingy or not is hardly your—" Yang Kai stopped mid-sentence, suddenly realizing something. He stared at her blankly. "You can choose to withdraw from here?"

He recalled the two Low-Grade Demon Kings and the High-Grade Demon King who had turned into white light and vanished earlier. So that's how it was!

"It seems you really don't know anything," Boya said. "Of course you can withdraw from the Blood Arena." As she spoke, she produced an item.

Yang Kai looked closely and saw it was her identification token — he had one too, though the number on his was different.

Boya held up her token and gave it a little shake toward him. "Then it's settled. I'm heading out first, and you owe me ten percent of your earnings!"

The moment the words left her lips, Boya's entire body dissolved into a streak of white light and vanished from the spot.

"Nobody agreed to that!" Yang Kai pursed his lips. This woman was something else — talking as if the matter were already settled when he hadn't agreed to anything at all, and then just leaving. Still, this was for the best. Short of being backed into a corner, he'd rather not face Boya head-on. That mystical archery was truly a headache.

Thanks to her reminder, though, Yang Kai hurried to check his own token and found that it did indeed have a withdrawal option. Presumably, activating it would allow him to leave the Blood Arena.

He put the token away and turned to survey his surroundings.

This fight had claimed quite a few Demon Kings, but unfortunately, their spatial rings had already disappeared. He'd encountered this before — whenever someone died inside the arena, their spatial rings vanished immediately.

Now that he thought about it, the Blood Arena had probably confiscated them.

This was nothing short of robbery! Yang Kai grumbled inwardly. Countless demons died here every year, and all their possessions ended up in the Blood Arena's coffers. No wonder this place was rolling in wealth.

He was flat broke in the Demon Realm, and right now his only hope was the one hundred million Demon Crystals he'd bet on himself. Otherwise, if he wanted to buy anything in the future, he'd be staring at an empty purse.
