The void shattered, rifts rising and falling as Yang Kai and Li Wuyi wove through them.
In one moment, the two charged into a rift one after the other and vanished from sight. With their disappearance, the countless spatial rifts began sealing themselves automatically under the laws of the Star Boundary.
Wen Zishan and the others exchanged glances, their expressions grim.
Yang Kai and Li Wuyi had clearly fought their way into the space between dimensions. There was even less they could do now to intervene. As for Yu Rumeng, who had fled ahead of them, they weren't too worried — with Li Wuyi making his move, Yang Kai certainly wouldn't escape, and Yu Rumeng's affairs were Flower Shadow Great Emperor's concern.
Atop the mountain peak, silence reigned. The newly built wooden cabin had collapsed into rubble, and the farmland Yang Kai had cleared was utterly wrecked. Though their exchange had been brief, Yang Kai and Li Wuyi had already reduced the place to utter ruin.
In the void between dimensions, Yang Kai and Li Wuyi appeared simultaneously. They locked eyes and said in unison: "Split up and search!" With that, the two darted off in opposite directions, threading through the chaotic spatial currents.
Before long, Yang Kai found Xiao Yuyang, who had been blasted into the void earlier. Right now, Xiao Yuyang's situation was rather dire — half his body was already being swallowed by the spatial turbulence.

After retracing their steps for a short distance, they spotted Li Wuyi heading toward them from the opposite direction. Once they met and confirmed that Xiao Yuyang was out of danger, Li Wuyi gave a slight nod.
Yang Kai complained: "Senior, you really took your sweet time. I sent you a message eight days ago — why did it take until today for you to show up?"
Hearing this, Xiao Yuyang's eyes went wide. "You leaked your own location yourself?" He had been wondering how Li Wuyi had managed to pinpoint Yang Kai's hiding place so precisely as to lead them right to it. Now it turned out Yang Kai had revealed it himself.
What in the world was going on? Xiao Yuyi was completely bewildered.
Li Wuyi replied: "There was nothing I could do. Things were tied up on my end. I only managed to slip away after finally dealing the Demon Race a real blow. I didn't delay you, did I?"
Yang Kai said: "That much is fine. I was just worried that if it dragged on too long, something would give us away."
Xiao Yuyang interjected: "Could the two of you wait a moment? Can someone please explain to me what's actually going on here?"
Yang Kai and Li Wuyi exchanged a glance and both laughed.
Li Wuyi said: "Don't ask so many questions, and don't tell anyone about today's events. Suffice it to say this was the idea of several Great Emperors."
The moment it involved Great Emperors, Xiao Yuyang fell silent at once. Though he didn't know exactly what Yang Kai and Li Wuyi were doing, he could tell this appeared to be some kind of act. What he couldn't quite figure out was — if it was a performance, there had to be an audience. Who was the audience? Could it be Zhou Yewang and the others?
Li Wuyi's expression turned serious as he asked: "After this, will it be enough? Will the plan succeed?"
Yang Kai replied: "Eight or nine out of ten, it should work."
Li Wuyi sighed: "You've had to endure quite a lot for this. By the way, Lord Tiexue asked me to tell you — he's already ordered Spirit Stream Palace sealed off, and all of Spirit Stream Palace's disciples have been sent back."
Yang Kai nodded. "Please thank Lord Tiexue for his kindness." If Zhu Qing comes, please escort her back to Spirit Stream Palace and let Su Yan and the others explain the situation to her. Li Wuyi nodded. "Rest assured. The lords have their arrangements. They won't let Dragon Island bear any resentment."

"I know." Yang Kai grinned, then suddenly raised his hand and slammed it against his own chest several times. His Emperor Yuan surged, his mouth opened, and blood erupted in torrents, staining half his body gold.
Xiao Yuyang watched with his heart in his throat — this kid could be ruthless even to himself!
Yang Kai turned and tore through space, fleeing out of the void.
The moment he appeared, several powerful auras locked onto him — Wen Zishan and the others who had been standing guard around the area all this time.
Yang Kai looked around, his expression savage: "I will remember today's generosity, everyone! Rest assured, I will repay it in full someday!"
As his words fell, he activated the Laws of Space, his figure flickered, and he vanished from the spot.
"Where is Lord Li?" Zhou Yewang asked with a dark expression. Yang Kai and Li Wuyi had entered the spatial rift together, yet now Yang Kai had come out alone while Li Wuyi was nowhere to be seen — that did not bode well.
The moment his words left his lips, a pristine white figure appeared.
