Origin Crystals and medicinal pills were, after all, external tools. Cultivation techniques were the true foundation of any warrior. The Ghost Ancestor had received the secret techniques of the Yellow Springs Sect, which naturally filled him with elation — this was the real grand gift!
Yang Kai turned his head toward Chi Yue.
Chi Yue pressed her lips together and smiled. "The Demon Clan has very few cultivation techniques. Don't tell me you've prepared something like that for me too."
"Not exactly — just this." Yang Kai extended his hand, palm up. Before them, a small mountain suddenly materialized. Rolling waves of demonic qi flooded the great hall in an instant, causing everyone to gasp.
"Demon Cores!" Chi Yue cried out. She picked one up at random and probed it with her senses, her expression shifting once more. "Twelfth-rank Demon Core!"
A twelfth-rank Demon Core could only form inside the body of a twelfth-rank demon beast — equivalent to a human Emperor Realm cultivator.
Even a single one was worth a fortune, something ordinary people could never hope to lay eyes on.
"This one is also a twelfth-rank Demon Core." Io held one in his own hand, his face a mask of shock.
"This is tenth-rank, this is eleventh-rank…" Gu Cangyun stared from the side, his eyes nearly bulging out of his head.
The mountain-like pile of Demon Cores before them numbered in the thousands, all of them tenth-rank or above. Twelfth-rank ones made up at least a tenth of the total — a full hundred pieces. What a staggering number.
"I know the Demon Clan's cultivation methods differ from the humans', but with these Demon Cores to supplement your training, Senior Chi Yue should find your progress greatly enhanced," Yang Kai said, looking at her.
Chi Yue felt dizzy just looking at them. She stared at the Demon Cores, still unable to believe her eyes. "Where did you get so many?"
"Picked them up!" Yang Kai chuckled.
Chi Yue couldn't help but give him a reproachful glare.
As if Demon Cores of this caliber could just be found lying around! She assumed Yang Kai was talking nonsense.
But in truth, these Demon Cores really had been picked up — scavenged from the Beast Tomb in the Ancient Wild Lands. He had collected no fewer than a million of them. What were a mere thousand? If Chi Yue knew the true number of Demon Cores in Yang Kai's possession, she would likely go mad.
In all the world, only the Beast Tomb within the Ancient Wild Lands could have accumulated such a vast quantity.
Chi Yue asked no further questions and excitedly stored the Demon Cores away. Just as Yang Kai had said, the Demon Clan's cultivation differed from humanity's. Most demons simply absorbed the spiritual energy of heaven and earth and the essence of the sun and moon — they could even devour the Demon Cores of other demon beasts.
With so many Demon Cores to aid her, Chi Yue's cultivation speed going forward would undoubtedly accelerate dramatically.
"Senior Gu. These are a few sets of sword dao secret techniques — nothing too profound, but you can cultivate them for now. If I find something better later, I'll bring it to you." Yang Kai produced several jade slips and handed them to Gu Cangyun.
Gu Cangyun had been the Alliance Master of the Sword Alliance in his native Star Field, cultivating the sword dao. These sword techniques were naturally the most suitable for him.
Yang Kai had slain countless Emperor Realm experts and collected their spoils. Finding a few decent sword dao secret techniques among them had been no difficulty at all.
Gu Cangyun took the jade slips and examined them, his eyes lighting up. "These are far superior to anything I've cultivated before."
The sword dao he had previously encountered was at most at the Dao Source level. But the techniques Yang Kai produced were all relics of Emperor Realm experts — naturally far more advanced than his own.
Finally, it was Io's turn. Yang Kai gave him several sets of matching cultivation techniques as well.
Everyone was delighted. They all felt as though they had been suddenly upgraded, their standing transformed in an instant.
But it didn't end there. When Yang Kai produced a lump of Star Source, the entire group was thoroughly stunned.
Everyone knew that Star Source could only be born from a Cultivation Star. A complete lump of Star Source was equivalent to the very core of a Cultivation Star itself. Having spent many years in the Star Boundary, the group understood just how rare Star Source was in this world.
Chi Yue and the others had long regretted that they hadn't steeled their resolve back in their native Star Field to refine Star Source, leaving them without the opportunity once they arrived in the Star Boundary.
But refining Star Source at the time had been far too dangerous — no one had dared take that risk. Only Io had succeeded.
Now, though, Yang Kai had one in his possession. And he gave one to each of them, along with the Star Refining Art.
Io, being a Star Lord himself, had no need for the Star Source.
After much effort, Yang Kai stood guard over Chi Yue, the Ghost Ancestor, and Gu Cangyun as they refined their respective portions.
Three days later, the three slowly opened their eyes, their faces beaming with joy. With Star Source, it would be far easier to comprehend the Heavenly Dao, the martial path, and the laws of power. This would prove enormously beneficial to their future growth and advancement.
Yang Kai's actions today would multiply their cultivation efficiency tenfold, even a hundredfold, drastically reducing the time they needed to train.
"Now then — does anyone have any confusion or questions about their Cultivation? If so, we can discuss them together." Having finished distributing his gifts, Yang Kai looked around at everyone.
They understood that this "discussion" was merely Yang Kai's modest way of putting it. He simply wanted to help answer their cultivation questions.
No one hesitated. They all began to speak, one after another.
Inside the great hall, questions and answers flowed freely as time slowly passed.
"Everyone inside — are you dead yet?! Get out here!"
