Having dealt with everything, Yang Kai released his divine sense. The next instant, his figure flickered and he appeared before the Dharma Avatar, Liu Yan, and the others.
"Master, are you alright?" Liu Yan's face lit up with joy the moment she saw Yang Kai appear.
A few days ago, when she had sensed Yang Kai entering the Minor Mystic Boundary, she had gone to check on his condition, only to find him shrouded in Demonic Energy. Ever since then, she had been consumed with worry.
The Dharma Avatar and Hua Qingsi had been equally anxious.
Now, seeing Yang Kai so full of vitality, they immediately understood that he had resolved the problem with the Demonic Energy.
"Yep, I'm back from the dead!" Yang Kai grinned.
Hua Qingsi said with a serious expression, "Are you certain there are no aftereffects? You absolutely cannot afford to be careless about this."
"Relax, Sister Hua." As he spoke, Yang Kai suddenly reached into his Space Ring, retrieved an item, and held it out to Hua Qingsi. "This is for you."
Hua Qingsi took it with a puzzled look, but her beautiful face immediately changed. "An Emperor Treasure?"
What Yang Kai had handed her was none other than the five-colored spear Yao Changjun had been using. After their desperate battle and before entering the Minor Mystic Boundary, Yang Kai had seized both this Emperor Treasure and Yao Changjun's ring.
Liu Yan already had the Annihilation Thunder Pearl, and Hua Qingsi had always been unwaveringly loyal to Yang Kai. The five-colored spear could naturally be given to her.
"An Emperor Treasure is powerful, but a warrior's own foundation matters most. Sister Hua, don't put the cart before the horse," Yang Kai remarked mildly.
Hua Qingsi turned the five-colored spear over in her hands, her expression one of barely concealed delight. Hearing his words, she nodded and chided him with a pout, "I know that already. Do you really need to lecture me?"
Yang Kai chuckled and rubbed his nose.
He hadn't yet had a chance to examine Yao Changjun's Space Ring. Now, pulling it out and taking a look, he found that the ring contained quite a few good things.
The Source Crystals alone numbered in the hundreds of millions, and more than half of them were mid-grade and high-grade. As a third-level Emperor Realm powerhouse, Yao Changjun having this much wealth was hardly surprising to Yang Kai.
With his level of cultivation, how could he possibly be poor?
Beyond the Source Crystals, there were also large quantities of spirit pills and medicinal herbs, along with a fair number of Artifacts. However, not a single one was an Emperor Treasure.
After a cursory inspection, Yang Kai suddenly remembered something. "Where's Liu Xianyun?"
Earlier, Liu Xianyun had been knocked unconscious. To avoid accidentally injuring her during his fight with Yao Changjun, Yang Kai had tossed her into the Minor Mystic Boundary. Now he couldn't see her anywhere.
Liu Yan said, "I placed her over in the pavilion. She woke up a while ago, but she seems quite confused about her situation."
"You didn't explain anything to her?"
"No." Liu Yan shook her head. She hadn't even shown her face to Liu Xianyun, let alone offered any explanations.
"I'll go check on her." Yang Kai vanished from his spot.
Inside the pavilion, Liu Xianyun wore a solemn expression, her beautiful eyes filled with bewilderment.
When she had woken earlier, she found herself in this pavilion without the slightest idea where she was. She had carefully explored her surroundings and found no danger nearby, nor any sign of other people. What she did find was that the spiritual energy of heaven and earth here was absurdly dense.
Liu Xianyun had never seen anywhere with spiritual energy comparable to this place. Such concentrated spiritual energy made it an absolute cultivation holy land. She barely even needed to circulate her cultivation technique—spiritual energy from all around surged into her body of its own accord.
If she could cultivate here for an extended period, she likely wouldn't need long at all to break through her current bottleneck and advance to the second level of the Dao Source Realm.
But she was focused on figuring out where she was and had no mind for cultivation. What troubled her most was that Yang Kai had also vanished. After days of searching, she had even begun to wonder whether she had been abandoned.
Now, as she sat dejectedly in the pavilion, contemplating where she would go from here, a figure suddenly flickered before her, and Yang Kai materialized out of thin air.
"Senior Brother…" Liu Xianyun's face lit up the moment she saw Yang Kai. As though finding her anchor, she rushed toward him, the anxious tension in her expression easing noticeably.
Yang Kai gave her a faint smile. "Something came up and I got delayed by a few days."
"As long as Senior Brother is safe, that's all that matters." Liu Xianyun looked him over carefully and, seeing him brimming with vigor, finally let out a breath of relief. She then asked, "Senior Brother, do you know where we are? We were swallowed by that enormous vortex, weren't we?"
Her memory still stopped at the upheaval in the Boundless Void Ridge. Recalling the irresistible force of that vortex, her face paled slightly.
"We were swallowed, and then we fell onto an ocean."
"An ocean?" Liu Xianyun grew even more confused. Over the past few days she had explored the surrounding area and found no ocean whatsoever. Instead, the environment here was extremely pleasant, and there were numerous buildings—clearly, many people had lived here before.
If she could stay here with her Senior Brother for a long time, it wouldn't be such a bad arrangement at all.
Yang Kai scratched his head, unsure how to explain the current situation to Liu Xianyun. In the end, he could only say, "Come, I'll take you to see for yourself."
