Chapter 1931: When Words Don't Click, Even Half a Sentence Is Too Much

Yin Lesheng clapped and laughed boisterously as if no one else were present, which left Yang Kai's group highly displeased. In particular, Ai Ou, the one being stared at, felt a piercing sense of danger and felt all the pores on his body tighten at once.

Out of courtesy, Ai Ou did not lose his temper. He composed himself, cupped his fists, and said calmly, "I am Ai Ou. Might I ask what your names are, and what brings you here?"

Yin Lesheng flashed a grin and said with an air of great composure, "I am Yin Lesheng of the Yellow Spring Sect, from the Desolate Star Domain. Which star domain are you from?"

Which star domain?

Yang Kai and the others exchanged glances, unsure how to answer that question.

However, prior to this, they had all heard from Yang Kai that the world didn't consist of just the single star domain they had previously inhabited. There were countless other star domains that couldn't be discovered, separated from one another by the power of dimensional barriers, with no intersection — and only those of great power could pass between them.

So when the other party introduced himself and mentioned the Desolate Star Domain, they could more or less accept it.

"You don't even know what your own star domain is called?" From the side, the bald youth Feng De stared at Yang Kai and the others with a peculiar expression, as if looking at a bunch of country bumpkins.

Ai Ou let out an awkward laugh. "That… we really don't know. Our star domain has been sealed for tens of thousands of years and has never made contact with the Star Realm, so we have no idea what outsiders call our home."

"Sealed for tens of thousands of years?" Feng De and Liu Xianyun looked surprised. The latter asked curiously, "Then how did you find the Starlight Corridor and make your way here?"

She knew that some star domains had run into problems with their connections to the Star Realm — when the laws of heaven and earth fell out of balance and martial artists couldn't advance in cultivation, or when a corridor collapsed and the path to the Star Realm was lost.

She was therefore quite curious how Ai Ou and his group had managed to repair the corridor after tens of thousands of years.

"That…" Ai Ou's face showed his reluctance. He didn't really want to explain this matter. After all, it involved the Star Emperor, and these were strangers they had happened to meet — not the kind of people you poured your heart out to.

Liu Xianyun read his expression and smiled gently. "I was being presumptuous."

"Not at all." Seeing her genial demeanor, Ai Ou's wariness diminished somewhat. "Are you also heading to the Star Realm?"

"Indeed," Liu Xianyun nodded.

"Then why have you stopped? Did you lose your way?"

Liu Xianyun and Feng De didn't know how to respond for a moment, and instead turned their gaze to Yin Lesheng.

Ai Ou immediately understood that this deeply uncomfortable person was the one truly in charge among the three. He redirected his attention to Yin Lesheng, intending to ask further — but just then, Yin Lesheng's brow suddenly shot up. He stared in utter astonishment at Yang Kai, who had been hidden behind the group the whole time, and a terrifying gleam burst from his eyes.

While Ai Ou had been talking with the others to extract information, Wu Dao, Chi Yue, and the rest had been sizing up the opposing trio. They were all people who had lived for thousands of years, each ruling supreme within their own star domain. In terms of discernment, experience, and insight, they had long since reached the pinnacle.

What kind of character someone was — they could usually form a rough estimate with a single glance.

Liu Xianyun and Feng De gave off a reasonably decent impression, but Yin Lesheng made every single one of them uneasy. There was no mystery why — the murderous aura emanating from him was far too dense.

Now seeing him suddenly take such keen interest in Yang Kai, how could they not realize something had changed? In an instant, the group subtly shifted their steps to shield Yang Kai from view.

"Ha ha ha ha!" Yin Lesheng burst into laughter. "Not just one Star Lord — there are two! Truly, the heavens bless me!"

Within the Starlight Corridor, a Star Lord was distinctly different from ordinary people. Through the speed at which surrounding starlight adhered to and was absorbed by them, the distinction was visible at a glance.

Before, Yin Lesheng's attention had been captured by Ai Ou, and he hadn't noticed Yang Kai's existence. He only discovered Yang Kai hiding at the back later — and was shocked to find that Yang Kai's starlight absorption speed was more than a dozen times greater than Ai Ou's.

What made it even harder to believe was that this person was actually a two-layer Void King Realm martial artist.

How could he not be delighted?

He had been waiting here for five years, originally hoping to bring a single gift to the Yellow Spring Sect. But now heaven itself had delivered two grand gifts right before his eyes.

In an instant, greed blazed in Yin Lesheng's eyes.

"This friend—" Ai Ou's face turned cold as he moved to shield the group, fixing his gaze on Yin Lesheng.

"Friend?" Yin Lesheng cast a sidelong glance, looking down on Ai Ou as though he were beneath notice. He stepped leisurely out of the Yellow Spring Nether Domain Barrier and said in an unhurried manner, "Who's your friend?"

"What exactly do you mean by this?" Ai Ou's expression darkened. He never expected that the leader would have such a vastly different attitude from the other two. After all, they had been having a perfectly civil conversation — how could he flip his face so suddenly?

"Nothing particular." Yin Lesheng arrived at the edge of the Yellow Spring Nether Domain Barrier, his eyes cold as he stared ahead and said flatly, "If you little ants don't want to die, then open up your spiritual seas and let me plant a soul imprint on you. Depending on my mood, I might just spare your lives."

"What?"

"Ants?"

"Insolent!"

"You think you can enslave us? What a laugh!"

Ai Ou and the others were immediately overcome with righteous fury. The six of them, setting Yang Kai aside, were each at the absolute pinnacle of the star domain — every single one a supreme powerhouse who commanded the winds and storms of their realm.
