Chapter 1820: Give Him a Chance

January 17, 2020 · 5 min read · 1,060 words

It was too late for regrets now. A number of disciples loyal to the Heavenly Curtain Manor rose to their feet from within the formation, glaring furiously toward where the young man stood.

"Who told you to get up? Get back to work!" The young man snorted coldly, and a surge of overwhelming pressure radiated from his body. The next instant, every warrior who had stood let out muffled groans and collapsed back into sitting positions.

None among these warriors had reached the Saint realm—how could they possibly withstand the pressure of a Saint King?

The young man gave another cold snort and turned his attention back to the woman before him. "It's your privilege that I've taken a fancy to you. Tonight, you'll be serving me! Stop making that face at me—believe me, I'll tear your clothes off right here and now."

The woman's delicate frame trembled, her eyes instantly flooding with a look of utter, desperate horror.

If she truly suffered such humiliation at the hands of this young man in front of a thousand members of her sect, there would be no point in living.

At that thought, grief and rage swelled within her, and the notion of ending her own life on the spot took root in her mind.

She would rather be a shattered piece of jade than a whole tile—

"If you dare kill yourself, I'll slaughter every last one of this thousand from your Heavenly Curtain Manor! This miserable place is thin on spiritual energy but rich in warriors—do you really think that without your Heavenly Curtain Manor, I won't have anyone to keep the formation running?" The young man gazed at the woman with cold indifference.

"Bastard!" The woman hissed through clenched teeth. With him threatening her like this, she truly didn't dare make any rash moves.

"Ha ha!" The young man laughed like a madman. "Keep cursing—I love watching you women put on that angry expression. The angrier you get, the happier I am."

"You demon. Someday, someone will come to deal with you."

"Hmph! With trash like you? You'll never have the ability."

The woman spoke in a frigid tone: "We certainly don't have that ability—but someone does."

In that moment, as though recalling some existence, a flicker of pride surfaced on her face, which had been twisted in fear and fury.

"Oh?" The young man studied the woman with great interest. "Do tell—who in this miserable place could possibly deal with me? I'm very curious."

He had already scouted the Xuanxuan Continent. Spiritual energy here was thin, and the overall standard of warriors was low—otherwise, they never would have dared act so brazenly on this continent. What they were doing now amounted to draining the spiritual energy of an entire cultivation star. It was a perverse violation of the natural order.

If word got out, the entire Star Domain might mobilize against them.

"The Master of the Nine Heavens Holy Land!" The woman said through gritted teeth, her beautiful eyes blazing bright in that instant. "Someday, he will return. And he'll make you pay for everything!"

"The Nine Heavens Holy Land?" The young man furrowed his brow slightly and turned to one of the black-robed figures beside him. "There's a sect like that here?"

The black-robed figure considered for a moment, then replied: "There seems to have been one, but many years ago the entire sect vacated. No one knows where they went. The locals say they headed to the Star Domain."

The young man nodded indifferently. "The Star Domain, hmm. It seems the Master of the Nine Heavens Holy Land had some ability, to escape from a place like this. But… so what? Does he think the Star Domain is easy to survive in? For all we know, they've already perished in some forgotten corner of the Star Domain."

"The Master of the Nine Heavens Holy Land is a once-in-a-generation genius. He once united the human, demon, and monster races—someone like you could never fathom his stature," the woman said with undisguised contempt.

"You seem to admire this Master of the Nine Heavens Holy Land quite a bit?" The young man tilted his head, regarding the woman with a faint smile. "Then I suppose I'll have to see whether this so-called Master of the Nine Heavens Holy Land comes to your rescue when you're being violated…"

As his words fell, the young man suddenly flicked his hand.

A gust of sharp energy shot toward the woman, slicing the loose outer robe clean off her body.

The woman shrieked and stumbled backward.

The young man's eyes gleamed with a lewd light as he stared ahead. Beneath the robe, though she still wore undergarments, there was no concealing her alluring figure. Her proud bosom rose like towering mountains, threatening to burst free of her clothing. It made the young man's appetite stir as he licked his lips. "Excellent. Truly top quality—it seems my eye hasn't failed me."

"What are you trying to do?" Panic showed on the woman's face as she eyed him warily.

The young man sneered: "Since you're so devoted to that Master of the Nine Heavens Holy Land, naturally I'll give you a chance—and give him a chance to play the hero who saves the beauty!"

One of the black-robed figures laughed. "A frog at the bottom of a well, judging the sky as if it were the size of a well. This little beauty probably has no idea just how powerful the Young Master really is. She thinks that Master of the Nine Heavens Holy Land is the greatest under heaven—but she has no clue that a man like that wouldn't even qualify to carry the Young Master's shoes!"

"Well said!" Others chimed in immediately.

The young man wore a smile, clearly enjoying every word.

Just then, his brow furrowed. He raised his head and looked upward. The next instant, he shot to his feet from his chair, his gaze locking onto something above.

High in the sky, a streak of light like a shooting star plummeted at the speed of an arrow loosed from its bow, slamming into the hexagram formation in the blink of an eye.

BOOM… The earth shook violently. The hexagram formation's glow was snuffed out in an instant, and every warrior maintaining the formation was hurled backward by a tremendous force.
