Just as Yang Kai and Xue Yue were about to quietly withdraw, Kong Fa, who had been flying toward them, raised his voice and called out, "Is that Mr. Ni of the Heng Luo Commercial Association up ahead?"
He had clearly recognized Ni Guang as well, yet he showed no intention of avoiding him whatsoever. Instead, he flew straight toward them and even took the initiative to call out a greeting. This scene was highly unusual, because regardless of Kong Fa or Xu Wei, their backgrounds were extremely unsavory, and their hands were stained with the blood of many Heng Luo Commercial Association warriors. Under normal circumstances, if they ran into Ni Guang, they would flee without a second thought — so why would they deliberately approach and deliver themselves into the tiger's den?
Ni Guang froze for a moment, his brow furrowing slightly. While wondering whether the other party might be scheming something, he secretly sent Luo Lan a look, warning her to be cautious. At the same time, he let out a cold snort and said, "That's right — I am Ni Guang!"
Kong Fa was overjoyed and immediately called out, "Wonderful! Mr. Ni, please save our lives! Kong will surely repay this great kindness in the future!"

These two fellows were being chased by a swarm of ancient ferocious beasts!
By now, Yang Kai and the others had also noticed the signs.
From the time Kong Fa and Xu Wei first appeared, there had been nothing but calm behind them. Yet their appearance was wretched — clearly they had been through a fierce battle and sustained some injuries.
At first Yang Kai had been puzzled about what could have put two Void King Realm powerhouses at a disadvantage. But the moment Kong Fa cried out for help, a kaleidoscope of dazzling multicolored light suddenly burst into existence less than three li behind him. The radiance was dazzling to behold, and at first glance it was impossible to make out what exactly it was. But upon closer inspection, Yang Kai discovered that it was actually a countless swarm of butterfly-like exotic insects.
They fluttered their multicolored wings, their forms shifting unpredictably with every movement. Each flap of their wings produced a teleportation-like effect, instantly closing the distance between themselves and Kong Fa and Xu Wei.
From where everyone stood, the butterfly-like creatures pursuing Kong Fa and Xu Wei numbered at least a thousand, gathered together into a massive swarm. They surged forward like a tide of insects, fierce and relentless, trailing just behind the two fugitives.
"What are those?" Luo Lan's fair face turned pale. Though she didn't recognize what these butterfly-like beasts were, seeing Kong Fa and Xu Wei so disheveled told her they were not to be trifled with.
"Illusory Void Butterflies!" Ni Guang answered swiftly. "Ancient exotic insects born with the innate ability to manipulate spatial power. Their bodies are harder than steel, and they are ruthlessly savage. Once they emerge, they sweep through like a locust swarm…"
Before he could finish, an even larger swathe of multicolored light blazed to life behind Kong Fa and Xu Wei as more Illusory Void Butterflies revealed themselves.
The scale — it was far more than a thousand. Even ten thousand was an underestimate…
At the very least, tens of thousands of Illusory Void Butterflies blanketed the sky as they hurtled toward this direction. The sight was absolutely terrifying. Every time they flapped their wings, faint ripples became visible across that stretch of space, as if space itself was being disturbed.
"Run!" Ni Guang barked. He instantly rallied his Sacred Energy, swept up Xue Yue, and turned tail to flee.
Unlike Luo Lan, he had done extensive preparation before entering the Lost Land. He knew of the Illusory Void Butterflies' existence here and understood full well how troublesome and vicious they were. So the moment he realized that what was chasing Kong Fa and Xu Wei was this particular species, he didn't hesitate for even a second — all he wanted was to escape as quickly as possible.
Seeing his reaction, Yang Kai and Luo Lan needed no further explanation about the severity of the situation. They each activated their techniques and fled at full speed.
Luo Lan was a Void King Realm powerhouse, so naturally her escape speed was nothing to scoff at. And though Yang Kai's cultivation level was comparatively low, he possessed advantages that most warriors simply did not — whether in terms of physical constitution or the sheer density of his Sacred Energy, he far surpassed ordinary Return Void Realm cultivators. As a result, he didn't fall behind in the slightest, pursuing hot on Luo Lan's heels.
"Mr. Ni!" Kong Fa cried from behind. "I beg you to lend a hand and help Xu and me escape!"
Ni Guang seethed with fury. Without looking back, he shot over his shoulder, "Scram! If you keep following me, I'll take your miserable lives!"
He was burning with irritation. He'd stumbled into this mess for absolutely no reason, and the cheeky bastard was still trailing right behind him, clearly trying to lure disaster his way while incessantly screaming for help. If not for the fact that Ni Guang himself was deeply terrified of those Illusory Void Butterflies, he would have turned around and killed Kong Fa on the spot.
This would have been the perfect opportunity to finish him off.
"So Mr. Ni is truly this heartless?" Kong Fa's voice suddenly turned ice-cold.
"I owe you two nothing!" Ni Guang snorted coldly.
Kong Fa let out an eerie laugh. "Since Mr. Ni shows no mercy, then don't blame Kong and Brother Xu for returning the favor."
As he spoke, he exchanged a glance with Xu Wei. While still fleeing, each of them unleashed a secret technique, striking at Ni Guang from a distance.
Waves of power surged through the air, and brilliant streaks of light arced across the sky like meteors, slamming directly into the path ahead of Ni Guang. His figure faltered momentarily, and he whipped his head around to roar, "You two bastards — I'll remember this!"
"Despicable! Shameless!" Luo Lan also cried out in fury.
