Only Bing Long and a dozen or so Elders remained standing beside Luo Li, gazing at the sky with eyes full of terror as divine light flickered in and out of existence amid the violent surges of energy.
With Luo Li standing guard, they at least had the courage to stay.
High above the clouds, at a distance invisible to the naked eye, two exceedingly terrifying auras clashed against each other—Yang Kai, Su Yan, and Luo Hai!
Although none of the dozen Elders could make out the details of the battle, from the panicked screams Luo Hai periodically let out, they could still deduce that he was completely outmatched.

Luo Hai was a Void King Realm, Second Stage powerhouse. Even if a Third Stage cultivator took action personally, killing him was by no means guaranteed. At his level of strength, even if he couldn't defeat his opponent, he should still have had the ability to flee and bide his time for a comeback.

Great sheets of blood rained down from the heavens like a deluge, along with severed limbs and shredded flesh.
Luo Hai's aura was abruptly extinguished.
Luo Li's pupils contracted to the size of needle points, her delicate body trembling uncontrollably.
She had sensed what had just occurred.
The cataclysmic battle fell silent in that instant. The dozen Elders of Ice Heart Valley didn't dare draw a single breath, each one staring at the void with eyes full of dread.
The churning sky began to clear, and the massive spatial rifts started to close.
Gradually, a sphere of intertwined gold and white light came into everyone's view. Luo Hai had vanished without a trace.
It seemed as though a gaze had been cast from within that sphere of light, surveying the world below.
The gaze was cold and devoid of emotion, with a faint hint of crimson.
Everyone who met that gaze couldn't help but shudder.

But what put her at ease was that the faintly crimson gaze within the sphere was quickly withdrawn. A soaring dragon's roar and a resonant phoenix's cry rang out, and the sphere flickered once in place before vanishing without a word.
