Martial Peak · Chapter 157

A Shameless Standalone Chapter, I Have Something to Say

January 17, 2020 · 2 min read · 466 words

Always thought posting a standalone chapter was a shameless move, ahem.

Let me count, this month I've been shameless four times now. Fortunately, most authors have skin as thick as iron walls, so whether they have it or not doesn't really matter.

But this time, posting this standalone chapter isn't to beg for anything from everyone. I just have some things to say, so don't worry.

Before *Martial Arts Summit* was published, its momentum wasn't great. It didn't make it onto any of the various rankings, not even the easiest one, the clicks chart. Its position on the new book chart was also quite far back. After publication, the results were indeed poor, as they say in author circles with one word: a flop.

A crumbly, total flop.

With such subscriptions, for a full-time author, I fear it can barely keep one fed.

It's this little Mo's incompetence.

Little Mo has been writing on Qidian for a few years now, and has been scrabbling along the whole way, so my resilience is fairly strong. I won't wallow in self-pity or despair just because the results aren't good, and I definitely won't abandon this book... Hmm, I have to admit, during those first few days after it went up last month, seeing the dismal subscription numbers, my mood was quite low. During those days, Madam Mo did everything very cautiously. My apologies, my apologies.

But Little Mo knows one thing well: to give up or complain just because the results are bad only highlights one's own incompetence. As an author, what I write is meant to entertain the public. If I myself am complaining and can't even see the good in my own work, how can I expect others to read it with pleasure?

So now my mood is adjusted, because I still have several hundred readers subscribing, spending money. I must live up to these subscribers. I will live up to my readers.

Just as I've said before, the protagonist shaped in this book is a resolute man, and Little Mo must be the same.

The main purpose of posting this standalone chapter is for self-reflection and self-motivation!

This chapter is to tell the readers still supporting me that even if it flops even more, *Martial Arts Summit* will not stop until I've written two million words!!!!!

Maybe even more!!!!!

I want to create a brilliant life, a brilliant story!!!!!

I want to make all my readers read with joy, with satisfaction!!!!!

My heart is surging with emotion; that slogan I just shouted is kinda cringe-worthy - -

Okay, let's talk about something practical.

I want Monthly Tickets, Recommendation Tickets!!!!!

Begging for my own tickets, so others have no tickets to beg for!!!!!

Ahem... didn't I just say I wasn't begging for anything? (To be continued.)
