Chapter 1312: Meeting an Old Acquaintance in a Foreign Land

"Like I said, the price is fine — as long as it satisfies." Yang Kai smiled faintly, and with a casual flick of his wrist, sent a spatial ring hurtling toward the young woman.

She caught it and swept her divine sense inside. Once she confirmed the number of saint crystals within, her lovely features shifted slightly — but in the very next moment, a demure smile blossomed across her face, and the irritation from moments ago was hurled to the nine heavens. Her beautiful eyes shimmered as she spoke: "This young master is truly generous. In that case, I wouldn't dare disappoint either of you."

As she spoke, she turned her palm over, and the spatial ring vanished — tucked away somewhere. From the look on her face, it was clear she was quite pleased with Yang Kai's offer. Then, with a dainty flick of her slender hand, streaks of silver light suddenly shot toward Yang Kai.

Yang Kai frowned slightly but didn't put up much defense. He opened his hand and caught all the silver lights. Looking closely, he found they were objects as thin as cicada wings, entirely silver and shaped like mirrors.

On each mirror was a beautiful figure. Their expressions varied — some coy, some joyful, some seated, some standing — all remarkably lifelike, as though real women had been sealed inside. Their shifting, glancing eyes were enough to set any heart racing.

But Yang Kai quickly noticed something peculiar: the figures on these silver mirrors only performed a few simple movements, repeating endlessly in a loop.

"These girls are the pride of our Hehuan House. Each one has reached Saint King, First Stage, and every last one of them is still untouched. Had you not produced so many saint crystals at once, I wouldn't have the authority to arrange this. I trust they'll satisfy both young masters' requirements. If you're still not pleased, then I can only express my deepest regret."

"Saint King, First Stage." Yang Kai gave a slight nod, his expression flat and revealing nothing as he examined the silver mirrors one by one.

There were only seven or eight of these silver mirrors, but they appeared to be some kind of special artifact — capable of recording several frames of movement so the viewer felt as though they were witnessing things firsthand. Even though the beauties on the mirrors only performed a few simple motions, they still showcased each woman's charm to perfection.

If Yang Kai had come purely for pleasure, every one of these women would have met his standards. But ever since learning that the reason Shen Fanlei had come to this place was due to an offhand remark from Wang Yuhan, Yang Kai had known something was off about this whole affair.

By now, how could he not see that Wang Yuhan clearly harbored ill intentions toward him? The man's methods were extremely clever, and his schemes were carefully interlocking — leaving absolutely no loose ends.

Yang Kai was stalling for time here, deliberately making things difficult, mainly because he wanted to see what Wang Yuhan was truly after.

He had no real intention of indulging in pleasures, so he went through the silver mirrors quickly — giving each one a glance, slowly shaking his head, and tossing it to Shen Fanlei, who was watching eagerly from the side.

After three or four mirrors with no apparent interest, Yang Kai still seemed unmoved, and this was starting to make the young woman anxious. But remembering that he had already paid so many saint crystals upfront, she held back her irritation and waited quietly.

When Yang Kai examined the fifth mirror, he merely gave it a perfunctory glance — but in the very next moment, his expression changed dramatically. A terrifying sharpness blazed in his eyes, and even his aura suddenly fluctuated wildly. He stared fixedly at the beautiful figure captured within that silver mirror.

The young woman had been watching Yang Kai's reactions the entire time, so how could she miss the change? She chuckled softly: "Has the young master found a lady to his liking?"

Yang Kai raised his eyes, and an extremely complex light flickered through them, making the young woman pause in surprise. But soon, that expression vanished, returning to normal. Yang Kai grinned: "Indeed. I've taken a fancy to one — this woman fits my requirements perfectly. Forgive me for being so particular."

With that, he tossed the mirror back.

The young woman caught it and studied the figure within, murmuring: "Ah, her. Hmm — the young master certainly has fine taste."

"Might I ask this lady's name?" Yang Kai asked, seemingly offhand.

The young woman giggled behind her hand: "Please don't take offense, young master. It's not that I'm unwilling to tell you — it's simply that the Hehuan House has a rule. None of the girls who work here reveal their true names. But you may call her Yue'er."

"Yue'er!" A strange light flashed through Yang Kai's eyes. He nodded gently and asked, "Might I know what attribute of cultivation she practices?"

This time, the young woman's delicate brows furrowed. She hesitated: "Aren't you asking a bit too much, young master?"

"Please don't take offense, madam — it's just that I came here specifically to break through a bottleneck through dual cultivation. Naturally, I need to know the attribute of her technique. If it conflicts with mine, wouldn't that be disastrous?"

"Hmm, a cautious man — that's fair enough." The young woman smiled, whether she truly believed him or not. "In that case, there's no harm in telling you. This Miss Yue'er originally practiced ice-attribute cultivation, but it won't conflict with your dual cultivation — the technique she practices now doesn't rely on ice-attribute power. So regardless of what attribute you cultivate, there won't be any conflict with her. If there were such concerns, I would have informed you in advance."
