In the Sea of Consciousness, waves of strange fluctuations emanated from Yang Kai’s divine soul spirit body.
He began to weave illusions, forcing these visions into the ocean of her mind.
Starting from her infancy and extending to the present, in these illusions she didn’t need to pretend. She didn’t have to wear that constant, gentle smile like a spring breeze, nor did she have to live as a man.
She grew up carefree, loved by her parents, with harmonious siblings. She could wear the most beautiful clothes, adorn herself with the finest jewelry, never having to learn tedious etiquette, nor to cultivate day and night, enduring all manner of torment.
In these illusions, she was the happiest woman in the world, strolling the streets with a few maids, and whenever she revealed but a glimpse of her true face, it could drive the men of an entire city into a frenzy of howls.
In the illusion, she returned home, telling her parents about the little trivialities she encountered. They listened quietly with smiles, creating a scene of perfect harmony.
She even met a man who made her heart flutter. But, overcome with shyness, she could only watch from afar, secretly observing his every move each day, too embarrassed to approach him.
What she never expected was that this handsome, dashing man actually sought her out, defeated all his rivals, fulfilled her father’s numerous harsh demands, and married her.
They wed and had children. He tilled the land while she wove cloth. Their life lacked the grandeur of epic tales, but they supported each other with deep respect, cherishing one another like honored guests.
Their children slowly grew up, and they gradually aged, finally returning to the earth as a handful of dust, their graves placed side by side, as if they would never be parted.
In these illusions, she received a perfect life without regrets.
Over and over, tirelessly, Yang Kai poured these layered illusions, constructed from the power of his own Divine Sense, into Xue Yue’s Sea of Consciousness. He disregarded the depletion of his Divine Sense and his own exhaustion.
Time passed. Xue Yue’s Sea of Consciousness remained as calm as ever. There was no reaction.
But at some moment, the still waters suddenly began to churn. Bubbles rose from the depths, bursting and dissolving into nothingness.
A gentle breeze seemed to blow, and a faint fragrance lingered at the tip of Yang Kai’s nose.
Yang Kai paused his actions and turned his head, only to see Xue Yue standing behind him with a playful smile, watching him with keen interest.
Yang Kai rolled his eyes and immediately withdrew from her Sea of Consciousness.
The moment he opened his eyes, Xue Yue also woke up. She grabbed him and shouted, "Hey! Why did you run away like a thief?"
"You’re awake now. What reason would I have to stay? Wait for you to torture me? In there, you’re the master. I, a lowly martial artist at the Third Level of the Saint Realm, wouldn’t dare linger," Yang Kai snorted.
Everyone’s Sea of Consciousness was under their own control. Therefore, when two people were of similar strength, they would never invade each other’s minds. Doing so would only be to one’s own detriment. Only when there was an overwhelming disparity in power would the possibility of invading another’s Sea of Consciousness and dealing a heavy blow to the enemy arise.
"Torture you? Why do you think I would torture you? If you hadn’t done anything wrong, why would I torture you?" Xue Yue pressed on, her beautiful eyes narrowing, a sharp gleam shining within them.
"Alright, alright. I admit it was wrong to barge into your Sea of Consciousness and peek at your secrets without permission, but you refused to wake up. I had no other choice but to resort to this," Yang Kai said, freeing his hand from her grasp.
"Peek at my secrets, and now you’re the one in the right?" Xue Yue gritted her teeth in anger, her pearly teeth reflecting a dangerous light.
"I didn’t see that much…" Yang Kai said, looking sheepish.
Xue Yue said nothing, merely fixing him with her gaze.
"Fine. I even counted how many hairs you have. So what? Are you going to bite me?" Yang Kai said with a rogue’s grin.
"You bastard!" Xue Yue cried out in embarrassment and anger. With that, she lunged forward and bit down on the back of Yang Kai’s hand, not letting go. Her large eyes rolled up defiantly, as if to say: *You thought I wouldn’t dare?*
Yang Kai remained unmoved, even smiling as he said, "Biting my hand isn’t much fun. Want to change to another place? I’ve got a much better spot for you to bite."
Xue Yue’s face flushed a deep crimson in an instant. A rosy glow even crept up her slender, fair neck. She immediately released his hand and spat, "Keep dreaming!"
In those illusions, she had been intimately entangled with the man she desired, in every position and posture she could imagine—and many she couldn’t. They were all branded into her mind.
She had received a systematic and thorough education…
Of course, she knew exactly what Yang Kai’s words meant.
Even though she understood it was only an illusion Yang Kai had created for her, not reality, she still couldn’t quite handle it. After all, the woman in those illusions was modeled after her, with a face utterly identical to her own.
It was as if she herself were some shameless woman, constantly demanding and never satisfied!
"Why are you so perverse?" Xue Yue looked at Yang Kai with a strange, complicated expression, as if she hadn’t expected him to be such a rogue to this degree. "I misjudged you!"
"Where is there anything perverse about a man and a woman enjoying each other?" Yang Kai scoffed dismissively. "Once you actually experience it for yourself, you’ll understand the true pleasure within."
