Chapter 6477: Senior Sister Is No Ordinary Person

"Junior Brother Chu Feng, how stingy of you! Have you forgotten that you owe me a favor?"

Wen Xue pouted aggrievedly.

Though she looked delicate and well-mannered, like a naive young girl who hadn't seen much of the world — her eyes could not truly show the same clear, innocent gaze as Little Fish's. Instead, when her eyes rolled about, they betrayed a cunning shrewdness.

"I'll pay back the favor I owe you, but I can't give you this sword. You wouldn't be able to handle it." Chu Feng said.

"Fine."

Wen Xue then accepted the divine weapon saber Chu Feng handed her, though her gaze remained fixed on the Thunderfire Sword in his hand.

"Isn't your sword also a divine weapon? How come my divine weapon couldn't even put up a fight against yours?"

Chu Feng smiled faintly. "All I can say is that even among divine weapons, there are vast differences in caliber."

The reason Chu Feng had unleashed that single strike was because he already knew the Thunderfire Sword's true power. Nowadays, he possessed countless divine weapons in his arsenal, including quite a few of the exceedingly precious True-tier divine weapons. But among Heaven-tier divine weapons, the Thunderfire Sword was the only one he had. Moreover, now that it was in his hand, Chu Feng could confirm that its power was simply incomparable to any other divine weapon.

"By the way, how did you end up joining the Prison Sect?" Chu Feng asked.

"Well, I discovered that the Prison Sect's Prison Infants were beneficial to my cultivation, so I joined up to get my hands on one. But then I ended up receiving a Sacred Altar Guidance and was immediately noticed by that Wu Ma Shuang, who insisted on taking me as his disciple." Wen Xue said.

"So now, are you a member of the Prison Sect or the Crouching Dragon Martial Sect?" Chu Feng asked.

"Both. That doesn't conflict, does it?" Wen Xue replied.

Chu Feng felt somewhat exasperated, but it was perfectly in character for Wen Xue.

"You've truly made remarkable progress." Chu Feng said.

He could sense that Wen Xue's true cultivation was now stronger than his own — she was already a seventh-level True God.

"Spare me the flattery. Don't you know me by now? I'm not actually some junior. Did you think all those years of accumulated experience were for nothing? It would be strange if I grew slowly."

"As for you, Junior Brother Chu Feng — were you perhaps some ancient monster in a past life? How are you growing so fast? It's truly unreasonable." Wen Xue said.

"Alright, that's enough of the mutual admiration."

"Since you have this identity, I'd like to ask Senior Sister for a favor." Chu Feng said.

"You want to enter the Ancestral Martial Realm Sect's ruins, don't you? You haven't even paid back what you owe me, and now you want to owe me again? Junior Brother Chu Feng, I never thought you were this kind of person." Wen Xue crossed her arms and curled her lip.

"Help me out, Senior Sister. I know that even though you've joined the Prison Sect, your heart still belongs to the Crouching Dragon Martial Sect, right? Tell you what — whenever you need help in the future, your Junior Brother will step up without hesitation." Chu Feng said.

"Don't say 'in the future.' I need it now." Wen Xue said.

"You really can't use this sword. If you don't believe me, go ahead and try — it'll backfire on you." Chu Feng said, gripping the Thunderfire Sword.

"I wasn't talking about taking what you love. I meant something else entirely." Wen Xue said.

"What is it?" Chu Feng asked.

"The Ancestral Martial Realm Sect ruins." Wen Xue said.

"The Ancestral Martial Realm Sect ruins?" Chu Feng was surprised.

After Wen Xue explained, Chu Feng finally learned what she was after.

Wen Xue was not an ordinary being. She had originally been a celestial oddity that cultivated into human form, and thus she possessed many powers that the human race did not. She had sensed that within the Ancestral Martial Realm Sect ruins, a demonic beast was sealed — one that could help enhance Wen Xue's bloodline.

Wen Xue also figured that since this ruin was a legacy ruin, the Ancestral Martial Realm Sect wouldn't have simply placed a demonic beast inside to ambush those who came to claim the legacy. The beast was most likely a reward, or at least something closely related to one.

"Deal. Take me inside. If I manage to obtain the legacy and there really is a demonic beast like you described — and I happen to be able to control it — then the beast is yours." Chu Feng said.

"We go in together." Wen Xue said.
