"Scum."
At that moment, Tian Jian Qingyuan's face was contorted with fury.
Relying on her formidable powers of observation, she had witnessed everything that just transpired.
And so, she was about to set off in the direction where the members of the Tian Jian Holy Palace had gathered.
"Worried about Chu Feng?"
But just then, Song Changsheng's voice rang out.
Tian Jian Qingyuan looked at Song Changsheng in surprise, only then noticing the strange light that had surfaced in his eyes.
Evidently, what she had just witnessed, Song Changsheng had also seen.
"If you wish to discipline those foolish juniors of yours, I won't stop you."
"If you're worried about Chu Feng, there's no need."
"Within these Eight Heavenly Rivers, no one can threaten Chu Feng's life." Song Changsheng said.
"Are you certain?" Tian Jian Qingyuan asked.
"At least for now." Song Changsheng said.
But he immediately added, "Oh, if you're not worried about Chu Feng's safety but rather about those juniors of your Tian Jian Holy Palace, then by all means go back."
"That lot deserves no pity." As Tian Jian Qingyuan spoke, she continued walking deeper.
"A fine thing to say—'deserves no pity.'"
But just then, a deeply resonant voice echoed from the depths of the path ahead.
When that voice reverberated, even the vast starry sky was shaken.
It did not sound like the voice of some creature, but rather like the call of an entire world—otherwise, how could it cause such a tremor?
As that voice carried forth, the path—previously appearing to stretch on without end—suddenly revealed its terminus.
And in that same moment, the boundless starry sky shifted from trembling to swaying, as though the entire celestial expanse were on the verge of collapse.
At the same time, a golden radiance rose slowly from the end of the path, like the rising sun illuminating all directions, lighting up the dark starry sky.
That was a truly colossal presence, really like the sun rising, for its size was comparable to an entire starfield.
But it was not the sun—it was chains.
Countless enormously thick golden chains—golden chains that were the source of that radiant glow.
Layer upon layer of golden chains, wrapped around something like the bindings of a parcel.
But upon closer inspection, the golden chains were already covered in cracks.
Clang— Suddenly, the golden chains began to shatter, dissolving into golden flames that scattered into the void.
Now it became visible: what those golden chains had been wrapped around was a massive black gate.
The black gate was forged from stone, and on either side of it were carved two identical creatures.
The appearance of those creatures was identical to the black demon beast Chu Feng had seen within the barrier gate.
Creak— Suddenly, the black gate—as vast as a starfield—swung open.
The swaying of the void intensified, becoming a rhythmic pulsation.
Soon, the truth was revealed.
A colossal entity stepped out from within the gate, and with each step it took, the starry sky shuddered.
Though much smaller than the gate itself, its size was still even larger than those colossal beings that had been confronting Song Changsheng and the other.
And setting aside its size, its physical characteristics were identical to those of the black demon beast that Chu Feng and the others had faced.
A humanoid body covered entirely in black scales, embedded like armor across its whole form.
From its head and back, tentacle-like appendages squirmed and writhed, eerie and sinister.
However, precisely because of its enormous size, it more closely resembled the one Chu Feng had seen in that special space—the one who had guided him through the Seven Star Alignment.
The master of the Primordial Graveyard.
"Because the two of you set foot where you should not have, all the living beings of this world will now be dragged into catastrophe."
"Are the two of you not even more deserving of death?"
