But soon, both Chu Feng and Shen Hui's expressions changed.
Jie Mubai's body dissolved into barrier energy and dissipated, and at the same time, a barrier talisman drifted out from that energy and burned to nothing.

Upon seeing this, Shen Hui formed hand seals, and the massive blockade formation that had sealed the sky began to unravel.
Like enormous dragons, the barrier threads surged outward beyond the sky, chasing toward the direction from which Jie Mubai's voice had come.
"There's no need to chase. You won't catch him," Chu Feng said.
Shen Hui quickly disbanded the formation as well, for she had realized that what Chu Feng said was true. The direction the voice had come from was merely another formation — Jie Mubai's true body was not there.
Although Jie Mubai was furious that they had helped Chu Feng deal with him, he had never actually trusted them from the very beginning, which was why he had used a talisman to disguise himself as his own body.
But that talisman was no ordinary thing — even someone as powerful as Shen Hui had failed to detect even the slightest flaw.
And so, shame flickered across Shen Hui's face as she once again bowed deeply to Chu Feng. "Shen Hui is incompetent. Please punish me, Lord Chu Feng."
At this moment, the patriarch of the Huangfu Heavenly Clan, Huangfu Zhantian, and the Master of the Divine Body Heavenly Palace, among others, all came to Chu Feng's side.

Jie Mubai's escape didn't matter — the truly dangerous ones were this group of Spirit World Masters. They needed to confirm her motives.

"You could say that," Chu Feng replied with a faint smile.
His relationship with Xueji was rather complicated. Both Xueji and Eggy were actually Spirit World Guardians that Chu Feng's mother had captured and placed within his Spirit World space. But compared to Eggy, Xueji had been somewhat rebellious. Once her seal was undone, she left Chu Feng.
During their time in the Hundred Chain Mortal World, she was taken by Old Cat, but Old Cat didn't cause her any trouble — in fact, the two became friends. Later, Xueji found an ally called the Demon Spirit King. At the time, Chu Feng didn't believe what Old Cat told him and wanted to find Xueji to get a clear answer.
It was while searching for Xueji that he happened to encounter one of the Spirit World Emperor's Spirit Guardians — Taowu. It was also at that time that Eggy obtained the Divine Soul, which gave her the tremendous power she possessed today.
Originally, Xueji could have competed with Eggy for the Divine Soul, but she gave it up. After that, Chu Feng had never seen Xueji again.
But Chu Feng knew Xueji's capabilities — he had witnessed them firsthand. He knew that no matter where Xueji went, she would always manage to thrive. What he had never expected, however, was that Xueji would become involved with the Spirit God Clan. No matter how you looked at it, the Spirit God Clan was incredibly powerful.
