Jie Mubai was first stunned, then laughed — a laugh born of frustration.
"I didn't do anything?"
"Then who set up that teleportation formation?" Jie Mubai asked.
"Does setting up a teleportation formation have anything to do with breaking the formations here?" Chu Feng shot back.
And Jie Mubai was genuinely rendered speechless. His smile turned even more bitter as he said, "Fine. Even if the teleportation formation had nothing to do with breaking the array, how many of my treasures did you take in the process?"
"I did take them, but I never used them," Chu Feng said.
Jie Mubai was utterly exasperated and couldn't help but say, "Chu Feng, you brat, how can you be so annoying? Aren't you supposed to be someone who values loyalty and bonds? How does that match what they say about you?"
"I, Chu Feng, have always treated people very well. But are you a person?" Chu Feng asked.
"What do you mean? I don't understand," Jie Mubai asked.
"What do you think of my powers of observation?" Chu Feng asked.
"Your observational skills are truly outstanding. I don't know how you manage it, but they really are above my own," Jie Mubai said.
"Since you know my observation is better than yours—"
"Then how can you be so confident that I wouldn't see through your tricks?" Chu Feng asked.
"What tricks of mine? You might as well speak plainly," Jie Mubai said.
"Those eight Spirit World Masters — were they real people or formations? You know perfectly well which," Chu Feng said.
"You mean the eight Spirit World Masters were formed by a formation, and you suspect I tampered with them? That I deliberately used them to gain your good will?" Jie Mubai asked.
"What else could it be?" Chu Feng countered.
"Chu Feng, aren't you being a bit too cautious?"
"True, I am a member of the Seven Realms Sacred Palace, but I have already made it clear that I stand on Tian Nian's side. Caution is a good thing, but being cautious toward the wrong person is not," Jie Mubai said.
"Actually, your formation was quite ingenious. At first, I really didn't catch that those eight Spirit World Masters were conjured by a formation."
