Chu Feng did not reveal himself, but instead entered directly into the mist.
Though he was curious about what benefits the Heavenly Sword Sacred Palace could gain, that was not the purpose of his coming here.
This mist was no ordinary thing — it was not merely a labyrinth, but harbored hidden dangers within.
Fortunately, Chu Feng's Heavenly Eye was remarkably effective within this mist, allowing him to identify the correct path.
It did not take long before Chu Feng passed through the bizarre fog, and what appeared before his eyes was a vast, open grassland.
The grassland stretched endlessly in every direction, the green blades of grass swaying in the wind, wave after wave rolling across the expanse like a sea.
That was precisely why the object in the distance stood out so strikingly.
A tombstone!!!
In form, it was identical to the one visible from outside, only far smaller in size.
It was not massive enough to rival an upper realm, yet upon this grassland, it still pierced the sky like a sword thrust into the heavens.
Once one set foot upon this grassland, it was impossible not to notice the tombstone.
But beyond its size, there was another difference.
The inscriptions.
The tombstone outside bore only six characters — the Tomb of the Spirit-Sword Sovereign.
The tombstone before him now, however, carried those same six characters, surrounded by countless peculiar runes that enveloped the words like an army encircling a fortress.
Moreover, those runes seemed to possess life, pulsing and throbbing as if they had a heartbeat.
Clearly, the tombstone contained something far more extraordinary — perhaps that was the true key to this place.
Yet the moment Chu Feng set foot here, his heart tightened.
His connection to his grandmother had vanished again.
He quickly turned around, stepped back into the mist, and then emerged again.
After repeating this several times, he confirmed one thing.
This grassland possessed a concealment formation — one so refined that even he could not discern it.
Within the mist, he could still sense his grandmother's presence somewhere in this grassland, though it was extremely faint.
But once he actually set foot upon the grass, that presence disappeared entirely.
As Chu Feng drew closer to the tombstone, his vision grew clearer.
And he discovered that hovering in the empty space before the massive tombstone was a woman in white robes.
No cultivation aura emanated from her, not a shred of pressure.
Yet from that silhouette alone, Chu Feng could tell that this woman was extraordinarily formidable.
It was the invisible bearing that belonged only to the truly powerful.
"That woman is no ordinary person. Is she from the Heavenly Sword Sacred Palace, or a guardian of the tomb?"
Egg had also sensed how dangerous this woman was, and she rose to her feet in vigilance, ready to strike at a moment's notice.
"She seems to be from the Heavenly Sword Sacred Palace."
Chu Feng did not approach directly, but instead wandered across the grassland, searching for any clues to his grandmother's whereabouts. He found nothing.
During this time, however, Chu Feng circled around to the front of the tombstone and caught sight of the woman's face.
He found that she had a pair of pale blue eyes, cold as frost — beautiful and formidable.
With eyes like those, her powers of observation must have been exceedingly sharp.
Though Chu Feng had concealed his form, he was not confident that he could remain undetected before those eyes.
He even suspected that she had already discovered him long ago.
But the white-robed woman's gaze remained fixed upon the tombstone from beginning to end, never once glancing at Chu Feng.
This was good news — it meant she harbored no hostility toward him.
So Chu Feng simply revealed himself, walked up to the woman, and bowed respectfully. "Senior, my name is Chu Feng. I have come here to find someone and did not mean to disturb you."
Chu Feng not only showed himself but also declared his identity, out of respect.
Yet the white-rosted woman acted as though she could not see him at all, ignoring him completely.
Chu Feng had been about to ask about her identity, but seeing her like this, he dispensed with the question and got straight to the point.
"Have you, by chance, seen an elderly woman?"
Still, she did not speak.
"Is she deaf or blind? How can she be this good at playing aloof?"
Seeing this, Egg grew annoyed.
Chu Feng was one for courtesy, but Egg was not. Aside from Chu Feng, she did not place any value on anyone else's life.
She might not care about those who treated Chu Feng well, but anyone who treated him poorly was immediately consigned to the enemy's camp in her mind.
Still, Egg was considerate of Chu Feng. Though she was irritated, she only voiced her complaints to him and did not strike directly.
