"Of course not. This is an internal portrait from the Huangfu Heavenly Clan. I bought it at great expense," the narrow-faced man said.
"You're full of it. Chu Feng doesn't look like this," Chu Feng said.
"Then tell me, what does he look like?" the narrow-faced man asked.
"Either way, not like this."
"Tell you what — leave your home address with this gentleman here. When he finds out the truth, it'll be convenient for him to come beat you up," Chu Feng said to the narrow-faced man.
"You — one look and I can tell you're ignorant. Not only ignorant, but rotten too."
"You can't afford the viewing rights to my painting, and I haven't said a word about that, so why are you spreading rumors and trying to ruin my reputation?"
"I can't be bothered to argue with you."
The narrow-faced man immediately quickened his pace and disappeared into the distance.
"He ran, he ran — could it really be fake?" the crowd began murmuring again.
But the bearded man was unconcerned. Instead, he looked at Chu Feng.
"Brother, you've been swindled. Aren't you going to chase him?" Chu Feng said to the bearded man.
"It's fine. Just a small sum."
"Brother, let me introduce myself — my name is Li Gangtie. What might yours be?" the bearded man asked.
"My surname is Chu," Chu Feng said.
"So it's Brother Chu! Brother Chu, you share a surname with that Chu Feng."
The bearded man chuckled, then asked again: "Have you really met that Chu Feng?"
"I have. He really doesn't look like that. Much more handsome than that," Chu Feng said.
"Then tell me — what does that Chu Feng actually look like?" the bearded man asked curiously.
"I forgot."
Chu Feng refused to tell the truth because he was worried about bringing trouble on himself.
He believed that not only did the Huangfu Heavenly Clan know he had obtained the Origin of the Bloodline — the Seven Realms Immortal Sect surely had means to observe the outside world, and more likely than not, they knew some things about him as well.
The Origin of the Bloodline, the Blood of the King — whether one was a martial cultivator or a Spirit World Master, these held tremendous appeal.
If he revealed himself, it would practically be walking into his own destruction.
Yet the bearded man was relentless. He seemed very interested in Chu Feng, constantly asking questions and prying for information about him — even offering to pay for a genuine portrait of Chu Feng.
Although Chu Feng didn't agree, he found it somewhat amusing. He could sense that this bearded man called Li Gangtie was deeply interested in contemporary martial artists, and even showed a hint of admiration for Chu Feng in his words.
If he knew that Chu Feng himself was standing right here, who knew what he would think.
After traveling for some more time, Chu Feng and the others finally approached their destination.
From far away, they could already see a sky-piercing mountain peak, rising through the clouds.
But that peak was golden — not made of stone, yet not forged from gold either. It was certainly crafted from far more extraordinary materials.
Upon closer inspection, the peak had massive windows dotting its surface.
It didn't resemble a mountain peak so much as a strangely shaped tower.
Most importantly, it emanated an aura far more ancient than even the primordial era.
It was very likely a relic from the primordial age.
"Chu Feng, is that a mountain peak or a tower?" Eggy asked curiously.
"It looks more like a tower. It must be the treasure the Huangfu Heavenly Clan spoke of," Chu Feng said.
"Can you figure out what's hidden inside?" Eggy asked.
"I can't tell for now. But there's likely something valuable within. The Huangfu Heavenly Clan must be unable to obtain it themselves and needs outside help — otherwise, why would they be generous enough to share it with everyone?" Chu Feng speculated.
"Good point, but for us, this is actually an opportunity," Eggy said with a smile.
"Naturally." Chu Feng agreed.
As the two conversed, they drew ever closer to the peak.
And around the golden peak, masses of figures had gathered both in the sky and on the ground.
