In truth, he didn't particularly care about the safety of the Ancient War Clan. What concerned him more was the safety of their trio.

It was this gas that was causing the tremors.
When the members of the Ancient War Clan saw this, they seemed to realize something, and their expressions grew even more grim.

Although the void as far as the eye could see was filled with that gas, they could tell that the main direction it was flowing from was the place where they had originally come from.
From the direction of the forbidden zone — and of the treasure.
