"Take me to see him," said the Totem Dragon Clan's Clan Master.
"Tomorrow. He said… he wants to spend half of every day with Long Xue right now," Chu Feng replied.
"Is he out of his mind? If this is true, it concerns the future of our Totem Dragon Clan, and he still wants to spend his time with a woman?"
Hearing this, many of the elders looked visibly irritated.
"People are different. To him, Long Xue is more important than the Totem Dragon Clan," Chu Feng said.
"Then we'll discuss it tomorrow," the Totem Dragon Clan's Clan Master said.
Chu Feng did not go back to Long Lin's side. Instead, he remained on the warship.
Back in his room, Chu Feng pulled Jia Lingyi out and employed several formation arrays, attempting to see if she could be healed.
But Jia Lingyi had suffered an enormous shock, and Chu Feng's formations proved ineffective on her.
The next morning, Long Lin arrived as promised.
The Totem Dragon Clan's Clan Master did not give him a hard time.
"It seems Young Friend Chu Feng's words carry considerable weight. You believe me now," Long Lin said with a smile.
"If what you say proves true, we can let bygones be bygones."
"But if you harbor any scheme, I will show no mercy." The Totem Dragon Clan's Clan Master gripped the token as he spoke.
Long Lin chuckled, then took to the air with Chu Feng, the Totem Dragon Clan's Clan Master, and the others, bringing them deep into the Ancestral Dragon Forbidden Zone.
They ventured straight into its deepest reaches.
This time, Chu Feng finally beheld the true form of the Ancestral Dragon's remains.
The remains consisted almost entirely of skeleton, with only a handful of areas still bearing scales.
Its sheer size, however, left even Wang Qiang, Bai Yunqing, and Chu Feng themselves dumbfounded.
Even from a tremendous distance, its height blotted out the sky and sun.
As for its length, no precise figure could measure it — by Chu Feng's estimation, it was long enough to span the entirety of the Ancestral Martial Lower Realm.
"Such a massive thing — I've n-n-n-never seen anything like it in my life. Could this be a tr-tr-tr-true dragon?" Wang Qiang's eyes were round with astonishment.
"If this creature were alive, I imagine a single breath could annihilate countless worlds?"
Bai Yunqing was equally shaken.
"Just a true dragon, and look at you two — acting like you've never seen the outside world."
At that moment, a voice rang out. The Heaven-Devouring Qilin had transformed from its badge into its true form and dropped to the ground.
"Wh-wh-what the heck…?"
"Where'd this pig come from?" Wang Qiang asked.
"You're the pig! Your whole family are pigs! You damn stutterer — are you blind?"
"Which eye of yours looks at me and sees a pig? I'll bite your tongue right off if you keep this up!"
The Heaven-Devouring Qilin bared its fangs at Wang Qiang ferociously.
But Wang Qiang wasn't the least bit intimidated. He walked right up, grabbed the Qilin by the head, and lifted it off the ground: "Brother, i-i-is this your pet? How come it's so ugly?"
"Insolent! Put me down, you damn stutterer!"
The Heaven-Devouring Qilin thrashed in fury, but it was utterly useless.
"Come on, show some respect. What if it really is a Qilin?" Chu Feng plucked the Heaven-Devouring Qilin out of Wang Qiang's grip.
"Th-th-that thing?"
"Would you rather believe it's a Qilin, or th-th-that I'm actually a woman?" Wang Qiang asked.
"I'd sooner believe it's a Qilin."
"At least it's not as disgusting," Chu Feng said.
"Tch." Wang Qiang rolled his eyes.
Chu Feng turned to the Heaven-Devouring Qilin. "So this Ancestral Dragon's remains — it was originally a true dragon? A legendary divine beast?"
"That's right."
"Little Fengzi, no need to get so worked up. It's just a divine beast."
The Heaven-Devouring Qilin put on an arrogant front on the surface.
But secretly, it was already transmitting a voice message to Chu Feng: "Little Fengzi, we've struck it rich — a divine beast!"
"Can you feel it? Even reduced to mere remnants, the pressure it exudes is absolutely unparalleled."
