After Zhao Zhuyin left, Chu Feng did not depart immediately.
While observing from within the cage earlier, Chu Feng had not only perceived a deeper method of breaking formations and obtained a means of preserving his life — he had also caught the same clue once more.
If one wished to obtain the ultimate power in this Age of Divinity, a certain object needed to be activated, and it was located at the entrance.
Without activating this object, all efforts would come to nothing.
Chu Feng had already obtained this clue within the barrier gate that anyone could enter.
Now, at the entrance reserved for the younger generation, he had obtained the same clue once more, and in both cases it was hidden in places so deep that one could only discover it through careful observation.
This made Chu Feng feel all the more confident that the clue was genuine.
And so he decided to study this spatial world more thoroughly, to see whether he could find the object in question.
Yuwen Yanri accompanied him.
However, despite a diligent search, the two of them failed to locate the object that needed to be activated.
Left with no other option, they stepped through the barrier gate and departed.
"Brother Yuwen, I've noticed something peculiar about this barrier gate. My suspicion is that stepping through at different times might teleport you to different locations."
"In a moment, let's step through at the same time. That might help us avoid that problem," Chu Feng said to Yuwen Yanri.
"Very well." Yuwen Yanri walked to Chu Feng's side.
The two then moved forward shoulder to shoulder and passed through the barrier gate together.
It felt as though they had pushed through a wall.
They had taken only a single step, yet everything before their eyes had changed dramatically.
They had left the cavern world and entered a great hall.
As for the barrier gate behind them, it had vanished entirely.
The hall before them was not particularly large.
Directly ahead stood two more barrier gates.
Both were framed in stone, giving them a rather sacred appearance.
Above each gate hung a plaque.
The plaque on the left bore the word "Deeper."
The plaque on the right bore the word "Exit."
However, the gate marked "Deeper" was closed.
The gate marked "Exit," on the other hand, was open.
In addition, numerous stone pillars stood around the perimeter of the hall. They were not very tall, and judging by their shape, they appeared to have served as pedestals for some kind of objects.
Something had once been placed upon them.
But whatever those items had been, they were now gone.
At the same time, quite a few figures had gathered inside the hall.
Some among them were familiar faces — Chu Feng had seen them at the summit of the Nine Heavens.
Among them was Qin Xuan, the greatest prodigy of the Firmament Immortal Sect.
Without exception, every one of these people, men and women alike, bore injuries.
And these were no minor wounds — Qin Xuan among them.
It seemed that the arrival of Chu Feng and his companion through the barrier gate had drawn attention.
Now, every conscious person present turned their gaze upon Chu Feng and Yuwen Yanri.
Since this was a place that only the younger generation could enter, Chu Feng wore no disguise, and so everyone recognized him at once.
As for Yuwen Yanri, though he still kept his hood up, Qin Xuan — who had traveled alongside him before — naturally recognized him in an instant.
"Brother Chu Feng, Brother Yuwen — you've come as well."
"It's wonderful to see you here."
Qin Xuan was the first to step forward, approaching Chu Feng and Yuwen Yanri.
His bruised and swollen face immediately broke into an expression of pure elation.
Moments later, the others seemed to snap out of their stupor and surged forward as well.
But unlike Qin Xuan's joyful greeting, they looked more like aggrieved children. Many of them began to cry openly — not just the women, but the men as well.
"Chu Feng, you have to stand up for us!"
At the sight of this, Chu Feng turned his gaze toward Qin Xuan.
