"What about you? What's your cultivation level?"
Zhao Zhuyin asked Chu Feng.
Yuwen Yanri also looked at Chu Feng with curiosity.
"Eight-rank Half God."
"Divine Dragon God Cloak."
"Though here, I'll still need you two to watch my back," Chu Feng said with a smile.
"Brother Chu Feng, you're too modest."
"Truthfully, my cultivation level is the result of sheer luck."
"After the Divine Era issued its decree for the younger generation to ascend, the Divine Body Manor poured all of its resources into me. That's the only reason I was able to advance so quickly."
"Otherwise, my advancement speed probably wouldn't have been much different from yours."
Yuwen Yanri explained the reason for his rapid growth, seemingly afraid that Chu Feng might feel discouraged.
After all, Chu Feng had been the top prodigy of the Nine Heavens Peak — the strongest young cultivator of his generation.
But according to Yuwen Yanri's assessment, in the current climate, every major power would be investing massive resources into their juniors without regard for cost.
By now, Chu Feng probably wasn't the only one who had been surpassed.
"At least for now, the Divine Era really is a good thing for us younger generation cultivators."
"Let's talk on the way." Chu Feng smiled and set off immediately.
He naturally wouldn't be troubled by having his cultivation level surpassed. Chu Feng was never the type to be jealous of others.
What was more, he had long grown accustomed to days without resources.
Though he had encountered no shortage of benefactors along the way, when all was said and done, the reason Chu Feng had come this far was mostly due to his own efforts.
Without that effort, none of those benefactors could have pushed him to where he was today.
After all, the benefactors of old had long since been surpassed by Chu Feng himself.
So he felt not the slightest bit anxious.
He was confident that through his own hard work, his cultivation journey would not stall.
"Oh, right, Brother Chu Feng — be careful when you encounter members of my Divine Body Manor in the future."
"Our Divine Body Manor will very likely side with the Seven Realms Sacred Manor against you."
"It won't just be my Divine Body Manor. There's also the Firmament Immortal Sect, and others."
Suddenly, Yuwen Yanri's secret voice transmission reached Chu Feng's ears.
"I've heard about it. The Divine Body Manor and the Seven Realms Sacred Manor formed an alliance, so it's only natural they'd stand on the same side."
"But I can tell that you, Brother Yuwen, won't turn against me. Am I right?" Chu Feng replied.
"Of course. Although Brother Chu Feng and I haven't known each other long, I genuinely consider you a friend."
"I, Yuwen Yanri, have very few friends — but once I deem someone a friend, it's for life."
"In this lifetime, I will never do anything to betray a friend," Yuwen Yanri said.
"However, Brother Chu Feng, you really do need to watch out for the Seven Realms Sacred Manor. The reason my Divine Body Manor allied with them isn't solely because of their threats — the Seven Realms Sacred Manor also provided us with a great deal of resources."
"My grandfather will very likely break through to the True God realm in a short time with Jie Tianran's help."
"The Seven Realms Sacred Manor's hidden strength is even greater than we anticipated."
"They hadn't shown it before — it seems they were waiting for an opportunity. And now that opportunity has arrived," Yuwen Yanri said.
"I have no relationship with the Divine Body Manor itself. The ones I'm on good terms with are you, Brother Yuwen, and Wang Qiang."
"So it's perfectly understandable for the Divine Body Manor to look out for its own interests. I can accept that."
"Oh, how is Wang Qiang doing these days?" Chu Feng asked.
"Brother Wang Qiang also received resources from the Manor. They weren't as good as mine, but Wang Qiang's talent is exceptional, and his cultivation has improved considerably."
"He's already reached the ninth-rank Half God. I believe it won't be long before he breaks through to the True God realm."
"Oh, Brother Wang Qiang came along as well. Once we leave this place smoothly, we should be seeing him," Yuwen Yanri said.
"How has his body been lately?"
Chu Feng wasn't worried about Wang Qiang's talent. What concerned him was the Blood-Devouring Demon Sovereign inside Wang Qiang's body.
"He's doing well," Yuwen Yanri said.
Hearing that, Chu Feng felt relieved.
He then turned to Zhao Zhuyin. "Miss Zhao, may I ask which ancient race you belong to?"
Chu Feng figured that "Zhao Laoba" was almost certainly a fake name, that many of her previous words had likely been lies, and that her cultivation level was probably false too.
No — not probably, but definitely false.
So he wanted to see if he could trick some information out of Zhao Zhuyin.
"Didn't my father tell you?" Zhao Zhuyin asked.
"No," Chu Feng said.
"Then go ask him when you get the chance," Zhao Zhuyin said.
This girl was cold indeed.
She hadn't even asked how Chu Feng had met her father, nor why her father had shown Chu Feng her portrait.
It seemed she simply didn't care about such things.
