Ruins were typically hidden deep underground, or concealed within mountains and other mysterious locations.
But the ruins of the Ancestral Martial Realm Sect were clearly a magnificent city.
It sat openly on a plain, visible at a glance.
The city contained millions of palaces of various sizes, but most were built to a scale suitable for ordinary people.
Only the one at the very center was truly exceptional.
Its size and area were a hundred times that of a typical palace, sitting within the city like a king, drawing everyone's attention.
All the palaces here were freely accessible, so people could be seen throughout the city, both inside and out.
Some had even set up stalls and started doing business right there.
And surprisingly, there were quite a few buyers.
"Interesting."
Chu Feng casually disguised himself and walked into the ruined city.
He hadn't dared to disguise himself before because of Zhao Hong.
A mysterious figure had used Zhao Hong to threaten Chu Feng, forbidding him from altering his appearance.
But Chu Feng had long suspected whether that person was friend or foe. After all, if they truly wanted to deal with him, there would have been no need for such elaborate measures.
So when he later encountered situations that required disguise, Chu Feng simply went ahead and did it.
He wanted to test whether that person would truly act against Zhao Hong or himself because of the disguise, or had simply been trying to scare him.
The result was that nothing happened.
But it was also possible that the mysterious person wasn't as all-powerful as feared, and simply didn't know Chu Feng had disguised himself, so naturally couldn't cause him trouble.
Still, Chu Feng preferred to believe his own guess — that the person might simply be a senior trying to force him to grow, and that Zhao Hong was likely safe as well.
Regardless, Chu Feng could now at least disguise himself.
After all, with the Seven Realms Sacred Palace putting a bounty on his head, he still needed to continue his cultivation. Without disguise, mere concealment would have been far too difficult.
And thanks to being able to enter this place under a disguise, gathering information was incredibly easy for Chu Feng.
Before long, he had learned the specifics of this place.
This entire city was part of the ruins. Nearly every palace, regardless of size, had originally contained treasures.
However, as time passed, the formations in these palaces had all been broken, the treasures inside long since taken, and the formations dissipated.
That was why people could move freely in and out, and some had simply moved in.
As it stood, only one palace had yet to be breached.
That was the one at the center of the ruins.
Passing through the enormous barrier gate of that palace, Chu Feng discovered that there was another world within.
The palace was already massive enough, but the interior was far larger than it appeared from outside.
For instance, what Chu Feng had stepped into was a vast, grand hall.
How vast was this grand hall?
Far larger than the entire city itself.
But such was the craft of a powerful Spirit World Master — this was only to be expected.
The hall was enormous yet extremely sparse.
Only the depths of the hall could draw Chu Feng's gaze.
At the center stood a massive barrier gate.
This barrier gate was rather interesting — it even had a large couplet hanging from it.
Upper scroll: All men have limits, yet each limit differs. Lower scroll: Only the dragon among men may claim this place's treasure. Horizontal scroll: Enter at your own peril, enter at your own peril!!!
This plainly worded couplet served as a warning of the dangers within.
And notably, on either side of the barrier gate stood two enormous silver shields.
The shields were roughly the same size as the barrier gate itself.
But upon closer inspection, they were less like shields and more like greatly enlarged tokens.
Furthermore, each of the two enormous shields bore a person's name.
One was Jie Tianran.
