The Dark Evil God was a being from the Primordial Era, and also a legendary existence.
Legend had it that this being commanded the power of space, and could annihilate an entire star domain with effortless ease.
Chu Feng had once seen its shell—the shell stood tens of millions of meters tall, the most colossal thing he had ever laid eyes on, aside from the nine Thunder Giant Beasts that resided within his own body.
But those nine Thunder Giant Beasts existed only inside Chu Feng.
The shell of the Dark Evil God, however, was something he had witnessed in the real world.
That sense of oppression was something Chu Feng still could not forget to this day.
The reason he called it a "shell" was because it had completely lost all signs of life—it was something dead.
And yet, from its body emanated a formidable aura, containing power beyond imagination and traces of the power of space.
It was the old Daoist who had borrowed the residual power of the Dark Evil God's shell to construct a teleportation formation within the Ancestral Martial Heavenly River—one that spanned multiple star domains and worlds.
That teleportation formation far surpassed even the Ancient Teleportation Formation.
But the old Daoist had also warned that this thing was extraordinarily dangerous, and one should never rashly draw too much of its power.
That alone proved that even though the old Daoist had managed to construct such a powerful teleportation formation, he had only drawn upon a fraction of the Dark Evil God shell's power.
Thinking about it carefully, the shell alone was already that terrifying.
If the soul still existed, then the legend of it being able to effortlessly destroy a star domain was probably far more than just a legend.
"Senior, could it be that the Three Saints Monster Clan's sacred artifact is actually sealing the soul of the Dark Evil God?" Chu Feng asked.
"That is very possible," the Divine Deer said.
"Senior, you are far more knowledgeable than I. Help me analyze this," Chu Feng said.
"The Dark Evil God is a legend, and I too have only seen depictions. How can anyone be certain?"
"You'll have to decide for yourself. But if it truly is the soul of the Dark Evil God, you must be extremely careful."
"Never mind the current Three Saints Monster Clan—even the Three Saints Monster Clan at the height of its power could face the risk of annihilation."
"Also, since you cannot confirm it, don't tell the Three Saints Monster Clan that this sacred artifact may contain the Dark Evil God's soul."
"After all, one can never be too careful around others," the Divine Deer said.
"Thank you for the reminder, Senior."
"By the way, can you sense any powerful beings in this world?"
"Could it be that the sacred artifact is still within the Sacred Mountain and hasn't left?" Chu Feng asked.
But the Divine Deer did not respond further.
"Senior, chat with me a little—why be so aloof?" Chu Feng pressed on.
The Divine Deer possessed vast abilities, and Chu Feng felt it could offer him assistance.
But the Divine Deer still did not respond.
Instead, it was the Three Saints Monster Clan's Clan Master who called out, "Chu Feng, what's wrong?"
Chu Feng had briefly fallen into a daze after seeing the black bottle.
"It's nothing. I just… from my observations, this residual aura seems extraordinary—perhaps even dangerous."
Chu Feng heeded the Divine Deer's advice and did not share his suspicions with the Three Saints Monster Clan's Clan Master.
Instead he asked, "Does the Three Saints Monster Clan have any additional records regarding this sacred artifact?"
"No." The Three Saints Monster Clan's Clan Master shook his head.
That shake of the head immediately put an end to Chu Feng's hopes of learning more about the Dark Evil God through the Three Saints Monster Clan.
"This sacred artifact must be quite powerful."
"If it left, was there really no commotion at all?" Chu Feng asked again.
"No. After the sacred artifact went missing, everything in our clan remained as normal. Nothing out of the ordinary happened," the Three Saints Monster Clan's Clan Master said.
After that, Chu Feng examined the bottle once more, but could not discern any further clues.
Moreover, there was a time limit for entering the Sacred Hall—once the time was up, it would close.
Chu Feng and the others were forcibly ejected.
The Sacred Hall vanished, and the thick fog once again shrouded the Sacred Mountain.
