"Sister, why did you tell Chu Feng your identity?" Feng Ling asked Li Wu.
"He helped us today, so it's only natural to settle the grudges between us."
"Rather than have him discover it later, I'd rather tell him myself," Li Wu said.
"I remember you mentioning him before, but back then, didn't you say he was just some minor character you encountered in the Ancestral Martial Star Field?"
"So why is it that when we run into him this time, you suddenly tell me he can help me break through the formation?" Feng Ling asked Li Wu.
Her first encounter with Chu Feng had been inside that palace, but before she ever laid eyes on him, she had already received a message from Li Wu.
Li Wu had informed her about Chu Feng heading to that palace, that Chu Feng was somewhat special, and that Feng Ling could try to use Chu Feng to pass the palace's trials.
"Just so happened that the curse's power flared up, and Chu Feng stepped in to help. He only suppressed the surface symptoms, but being able to do even that was already quite impressive."
"But at the time, I only sensed that he was no ordinary person — nothing more."
"I only wanted to give it a try. I didn't have particularly high expectations."
"But I never imagined that after we failed the trial so many times, he could pass it in a single attempt," Li Wu said.
"I didn't expect this fellow to be that powerful either. And this trial was completely different from any we'd encountered before," Feng Ling said.
"Did it become easier, which is why he passed?" Li Wu asked.
"What are you thinking? How could it have gotten easier — it became harder, impossibly hard."
"Although every time we stepped in before, each trial was different, at least we could always leave with our lives."
"But this time, if not for Chu Feng, I would have perished in there."
Hearing this, Li Wu's expression shifted.
"His observational ability surpasses mine, and yet he doesn't even realize it."
"Especially the third trial — it honestly terrified me," Feng Ling said.
"What was the third trial like?" Li Wu's expression grew solemn as well.
She knew Feng Ling well enough. For Feng Ling to say she had been frightened meant something truly extraordinary must have happened.
"Sister, what do you think of my talent?" Feng Ling asked.
"Is that even a question? Although you've started cultivating again from the junior stage, judging by your rate of progress, there's hardly anyone in the current martial cultivation world who could rival you," Li Wu said.
"Exactly. I've always been very confident in my own talent."
"And the third trial was one where you could draw power based on the level of your talent."
"I believed that the power granted by my talent was already unrivaled."
"But I couldn't even put up a fight against those monsters."
"Yet those monsters were utterly powerless against Chu Feng's talent power."
"With just a single strike, his talent power engulfed everything within sight. It was true devastation of heaven and earth."
"My talent, which I was so proud of, became utterly insignificant in his presence," Feng Ling said.
"He… has actually grown to such an extent?" Upon hearing this, Li Wu's expression turned exceptionally grave.
Back in the Ancestral Martial Star Field, she had known Chu Feng's talent was decent — but decent only by the standards of a place like the Ancestral Martial Star Field.
If they hadn't crossed paths again this time, she would never have imagined Chu Feng could grow to such a level.
In truth, if Feng Ling hadn't told her, she never would have guessed that Chu Feng's talent could be this terrifying.
"Sister, what's wrong?" Feng Ling suddenly asked.
On Li Wu's face, she could actually see worry, yet at the same time, she sensed a faint chill emanating from her.
