Chu Feng arrived smoothly at the summit of True Origin Lone Mountain.
However, it wasn't quite what he had expected.
There were no magnificent palace complexes — only a small, two-story hall with a simple structure, standing amid the weeds atop the mountain.
Though it was called a hall, it looked more like a dwelling. It couldn't be called crude, but it was certainly quite plain.
When Chu Feng arrived, two disciples happened to be walking out of the hall.
They had apparently received guidance from True Origin Supreme, as joyful smiles hung on both their faces.
They had been about to head down the mountain, but upon seeing Chu Feng, they couldn't help sizing him up.
Yet there was no arrogance or haughtiness in their expressions. Instead, as they drew close to Chu Feng, they exchanged a warm smile with him.
They likely figured that anyone who had made it here as smoothly as they had was no ordinary person — someone worthy of respect.
Chu Feng entered the hall and found the interior even simpler.
The walls were white, identical to the outside, with no superfluous decorations whatsoever, yet they were pleasant to look at.
If not for the fact that the main hall contained a massive cauldron standing three meters tall, the space would have felt entirely empty.
The cauldron was an antique bronze color throughout, not only giving off an ancient appearance but radiating an aura of deep antiquity. The runic patterns and inscriptions carved upon it were mysterious and impossibly old — even Chu Feng couldn't decipher them.
For a Spirit World Master like Chu Feng, this giant cauldron was immensely captivating.
But Chu Feng merely glanced at the cauldron once before immediately shifting his gaze to a corner of the hall.
There sat an elderly man with hair white as snow. Though he wore simple cloth robes, an air of otherworldly mastery surrounded him — the bearing of a true recluse master.
Without even needing to guess, Chu Feng knew this man had to be True Origin Supreme.
The senior of his Wulóng Martial Sect.
"Disciple Chu Feng pays his respects to the senior."
Chu Feng bowed respectfully.
"Enter the cauldron," the old man said calmly.
He kept his eyes closed in meditation the entire time, and as he spoke, he didn't so much as lift an eyelid.
"Senior, this disciple is a member of the Wulóng Martial Sect."
"The sect is now facing a crisis, and this disciple has come to request the senior's aid."
At that moment, there were only Chu Feng and this old man inside the hall, so Chu Feng went ahead and stated his purpose directly.
But the old man opened his eyes, glanced at Chu Feng, and said, "You've come to the wrong person."
"Senior… are you not True Origin Supreme?"
Chu Feng thought he might have mistaken the man, and hurriedly asked.
The old man smiled faintly and stroked his long beard. "Everyone who comes here does indeed call me True Origin Supreme. But I have never once said that I am True Origin Supreme."
"Senior, the Wulóng Martial Sect truly faces a trouble that cannot be resolved on its own. Otherwise, this disciple would not have come to disturb the senior."
"The sect master is also at the base of the mountain at this very moment. If the senior is willing, might you agree to meet with the sect master so she can explain the matter in detail?" Chu Feng asked.
"My young friend, I have already told you — you've come to the wrong person."
"I am not the senior you're looking for," the old man said.
"Senior, then do you happen to know where the senior I seek might be?"
Chu Feng asked.
"How would I know who you're looking for?"
"Since you've made it here, it means you have the qualification."
"Enter the cauldron. Once inside, you will receive a benefit," the old man said.
