"So it's the Sect Master? She's using an array to monitor this place?"
Chu Feng asked because he suddenly recalled that when Yu Ting was evading the question, she had also said something cryptic.
At the time, he'd thought it was a joke, but now it seemed more like a warning.
"It's not the Sect Master. It's someone else."
"There's someone else within this Abandoned Ground."
Zi Ling said.
"Is it someone imprisoned here, or… someone responsible for guarding it?"
As Chu Feng asked, he had already begun using his Mental Power, as well as his Heavenly Eye, to observe their surroundings.
He had already found Yu Ting, who had walked away earlier, but aside from her, he detected nothing.
This made Chu Feng realize that the person Zi Ling spoke of was no ordinary individual.
They were most likely someone whose abilities surpassed his own.
"You could say he's the master of this place," Zi Ling said.
"Oh? The master of this place?"
"Then is this person a member of the Wolong Martial Sect, or… someone else entirely?" Chu Feng asked.
"Chu Feng, it seems you know quite a lot about the Wolong Martial Sect. You're aware that apart from the Wolong Martial Sect's own members, there are other presences here as well."
"That's only natural, though. After all… my Chu Feng is the most outstanding person wherever he goes. Something like this certainly wouldn't escape your notice."
Zi Ling looked at Chu Feng, a hint of pride shining in her eyes.
The reason she reacted this way was that the existence of other beings within the Wolong Martial Sect, apart from its own members, was essentially a secret.
Even though there were rumors about it, most people dismissed them as mere hearsay and didn't believe such a thing was truly possible.
But Chu Feng was different. From the very beginning, his tone had been completely certain.
Yet Chu Feng had only entered the Wolong Martial Sect for a remarkably short time. To be able to confirm this in such a brief period was yet another testament to his brilliance.
"You little rascal, you've actually learned how to flatter people."
"But from what I gather, that person in there isn't a member of the Wolong Martial Sect, is he?" Chu Feng said.
"He's indeed not one of our Wolong Martial Sect's people," Zi Ling confirmed.
"Then who exactly is he? Have you ever seen him? He doesn't pose a threat to you… does he?" Chu Feng pressed, one question after another.
The reason he was so curious was that this being resided in the same place as Zi Ling. And Chu Feng only cared about Zi Ling's safety.
"I've never truly seen who that person is. But he's remarkable — incredibly powerful. Even my Master is powerless against him."
The Master she referred to, of course, was the Sect Master of the Wolong Martial Sect.
"Has he threatened you at all?" Chu Feng pressed further, a faint sense of unease beginning to stir within him.
Based on what Zi Ling described, it sounded as though the Sect Master had clashed with this being, or at least had some encounter with them.
But if even the Sect Master was powerless against them, then this person wasn't merely difficult — they were somewhat terrifying.
"No. Someone of that caliber would never stoop to bothering with someone like me. Chu Feng, don't worry yourself over nothing. See? I'm perfectly fine."
Zi Ling said with a bright smile.
"Let me take you away from here." Chu Feng pointed at his own token as he spoke.
"No, I can't leave just yet."
But when she heard Chu Feng say he would take her away, Zi Ling's first reaction was to refuse.
"Is it your Master who won't let you leave?" Chu Feng asked.
"Mm."
