This no longer felt like being inside an ancient tower.
This... was practically like entering an entirely different world.
Looking up, Chu Feng saw blue skies and white clouds overhead.
Beneath his feet stretched vast earth, and all around him was a boundless jungle.
More importantly, while standing here, Chu Feng could not only hear the cries of birds and beasts, but also sense that the natural energy here was far denser than that of the first layer.
This place was more like a world meant for martial cultivators.
"It seems I'll have to find the entrance to the third layer myself."
Though Chu Feng was not particularly old, having journeyed from the Nine Provinces Continent, he had endured countless hardships, ventured through numerous forbidden grounds, and passed through countless formations. He had seen his share of extraordinary sights.
And so, upon entering such a place, Chu Feng immediately saw through the secret of the second layer of this Rookie Formation.
With that, Chu Feng opened his Heavenly Eyes and surveyed his surroundings.
Under the gaze of his Heavenly Eyes, secrets invisible to the naked eye began to reveal themselves.
Chu Feng quickly found the entrance to the third layer.
It was an invisible staircase that stretched straight up toward the sky, hidden deep within the jungle to the southeast. Without considerable ability, one would never find it.
Not only did Chu Feng discover the staircase leading to the third layer, but he also found that hidden within the second layer were some cultivation resources.
However, those cultivation resources were scattered in different directions. While discovering them was easy, obtaining all of them would require considerable effort.
Moreover, for Chu Feng at his current level, the martial path contained within those cultivation resources was far too weak to be of much help.
So Chu Feng did not linger. He set off directly toward the entrance to the third layer and entered it.
Upon reaching the third layer, the difference from the second was minimal. The only distinction was that the natural energy here was considerably denser, and the cultivation resources hidden within were also far more powerful.
Furthermore, the entrance to the fourth layer was even harder to find. There were even numerous traps and mechanisms guarding the way.
But all of this was seen through by Chu Feng at a single glance.
Once again, Chu Feng did not stay in the third layer, but headed straight for the fourth.
Upon arriving at the fourth layer, finding the entrance forward was exceedingly difficult. Moreover, the cultivation resources in the fourth layer were actually somewhat useful to Chu Feng.
Yet Chu Feng still did not go after those cultivation resources. After some careful observation, he finally found the entrance ahead.
Upon arriving at the fifth layer, Chu Feng was overjoyed, feeling that his decision to bypass the fourth layer entirely and come straight here had been absolutely the right one.
Because this place, compared to the second, third, and fourth layers, had undergone yet another transformation.
The fifth layer had once again taken on the shape of a tower, only this time the walls were covered with powerful talismans and runes. Those talismans and runes shimmered with light, reflecting off each other like a beautiful painting.
