"Chu Feng, are you truly willing to help me kill Bai Liluo?" the black shadow asked.
"Naturally," Chu Feng replied.
"If you truly mean it, then extend your hand and do not resist," the black shadow said.
Hearing this, Chu Feng actually hesitated slightly, because he did not know what the black shadow intended to do to him.
But Chu Feng's hesitation did not show on his face. He quickly extended his hand toward the black shadow.
"You'll need to endure it — it may hurt a little," the black shadow said.
"Fine," Chu Feng nodded.
Whoosh— Suddenly, the black shadow's form flickered and it merged directly into Chu Feng's palm. At that moment, Chu Feng could feel a powerful and bizarre force beginning to condense within his palm.
As that force gathered, Chu Feng felt an unbearable wave of pain. He could only use the power of the barrier to alleviate it somewhat, but even with that relief, the searing agony persisted. The pain radiated from his palm, spreading throughout his entire body, so intense that Chu Feng felt dizzy and nearly blacked out.
Fortunately, after half an hour, the black shadow finally shot out from Chu Feng's palm and once again took the form of a human silhouette standing before him.
Chu Feng looked down at his palm and discovered a peculiar symbol had appeared on it.
The symbol resembled a long spear, and Chu Feng could sense that this force possessed tremendous killing power — specifically targeted and lethal.
"No wonder Bai Liluo chose you. To be able to endure my Innate Soul Spear — you really are something else," the black shadow said to Chu Feng.
Hearing this, Chu Feng understood that the power now residing in his palm was not something an ordinary person could withstand, and obtaining this power likely carried the risk of death.
"With this spear, you can kill Bai Liluo, but it can only be activated once. So... you will have only one chance."
"When we meet Bai Liluo, I will strike first. Because she and I share the same body, once I restrain her, she will be unable to move and will be at your mercy — unable to fight back."
"At that moment, you strike. As long as you pierce through her heart, she will surely die," the black shadow said.
"Understood." Chu Feng nodded.
Whoosh— The moment Chu Feng finished speaking, the black shadow transformed into a dark whirlwind that enveloped him. With a thunderous boom, soil exploded into the air as the black shadow pulled Chu Feng deep underground.
Before long, Chu Feng and the black shadow entered an underground palace.
The layout inside bore a strong resemblance to the arrangement within the Ice Sealed Forbidden Realm — the style was remarkably similar.
But it was not dark inside, nor were there any sealed monsters lurking about.
"Continue forward and you will see Bai Liluo. Do not be afraid — with me here, she cannot harm you."
The black shadow's voice rang out once more, though its figure had already vanished. It had hidden itself again.
Chu Feng did not hesitate. Following the black shadow's instructions, he pressed onward. After walking for a short while, he came upon a series of arrays, and at the core of each formation rested a Heaven and Earth Oddity.
These Heaven and Earth Oddities had already developed signs of life — like unborn infants in the womb. Though they possessed no consciousness, they had already become living beings.
