"Brother Hongyi, what did you see?" the two asked in unison.
They realized that Chu Hongyi must have been observing something, for the look in his eyes was distinctly different — it was a vision technique he used to peer into the distance.
"I saw Chu Feng's retribution," Chu Hongyi said.
"Chu Feng's retribution?" The two grew even more confused.
"You'll understand soon enough." As he spoke, Chu Hongyi produced a small bell.
He channeled the power of barriers into it, and the bell began to expand. In the blink of an eye, it transformed from a finger-sized trinket into a golden bell large enough to hold ten people.
The golden bell enclosed the three of them, and as Chu Hongyi activated it, the bell vanished into thin air — and with it, the three of them disappeared as well.
In truth, of course, they had not vanished at all. They were still standing right where they had been.
The golden bell was a barrier artifact capable of concealing them. Combined with Chu Hongyi's barrier techniques, it produced an extraordinarily powerful cloaking effect.
Before long, figures began to appear on the distant horizon.
They were two groups. One was the Burning Wild Monster Clan, and the other was even more formidable — the Green Feather Monster Clan.
"The Green Feather Monster Clan and the Burning Wild Monster Clan. Ha! Now Chu Feng is truly out of luck."
Seeing those two factions charging over with murderous intent, the two finally understood what Chu Hongyi had meant.
Chu Feng's retribution had indeed arrived. After all, the Burning Wild Monster Clan was protected by the Green Feather Monster Clan, and Chu Feng had seized their territory and driven them out.
Now the Burning Wild Monster Clan had brought the Green Feather Monster Clan along. This was clearly a reckoning.
"But Brother Hongyi, why are all the members of the Burning Wild Monster Clan kneeling?"
"Yeah, even if they went to the Green Feather Monster Clan for help, there's no need to go this far, is there?"
But soon enough, the two voiced the question that had been building in their minds — every last member of the Burning Wild Monster Clan was on their knees, including their strongest warrior, Feng Ganghao.
"What do you care about that for? What you should be worried about is how the Green Feather Monster Clan is going to deal with our dear brothers and sisters," Chu Hongyi said.
"Hmph, brothers and sisters? They're the ones who drove us out!"
"To hell with brothers and sisters. They're nothing but a bunch of treacherous, profit-driven scum. I really hope the Green Feather Monster Clan wipes them out," the two said viciously.
"Wiping them out might be a bit much, but giving them a taste of their own medicine would do them good." A look of eager anticipation spread across Chu Hongyi's face as he said this.
He was very much looking forward to what was about to happen.
He was also very much looking forward to watching Chu Feng shed his arrogant pride and kneel before the Green Feather Monster Clan and the Burning Wild Monster Clan.
While the three of them were talking, the Green Feather Monster Clan had arrived directly above them and was sweeping past overhead.
However, just as they passed, every single one of them suddenly halted.
At first, the three were puzzled, but when Qingyu Yunlong turned his gaze toward them, their hearts lurched with unease.
That look was as though he had discovered them.
"Brother Hongyi — have we been found out?" the two asked nervously.
"Impossible. My Heaven-Concealing Bell may dissipate after a single use, but its power is immense. Only a Dragon-pattern Royal-robed Spirit World Master could detect us, and while the Qingyu brothers may be Martial Immortal realm experts, there is no way they can see through my Heaven-Concealing Bell," Chu Hongyi said with great confidence.
Whoosh— But the moment those words left his lips, Qingyu Yunlong swept his sleeve through the air. Wind and clouds surged, a violent gale erupted, and even the ground beneath them trembled violently.
During that instant, a terrifying pressure crashed toward them like a tidal wave.
With a thunderous boom, the Heaven-Concealing Bell that had shrouded Chu Hongyi and his companions shattered into pieces.
