"Shuangshuang, why do you ask that?" Chu Ping asked.
"Brother Chu Ping, Clan Master absolutely dotes on Little Brother Chu Feng these days. In my view, even if Chu Feng caused some catastrophic trouble outside, the Clan Master would still be willing to bear it for him."
"Likewise, if anyone within the clan dared to make things difficult for Chu Feng, the Clan Master would never let them get away with it. Otherwise, he wouldn't have left even the fate of two Supreme Elders in Chu Feng's hands. Remember — Supreme Elders are the strongest combat power of our Chu Heavenly Clan."
"So if you still have a relationship with Chu Hongyi, I'd advise you to warn him — don't even think about getting revenge on Chu Feng. Not only would Chu Feng not let him off, but even if Chu Feng did, the Clan Master certainly wouldn't," Chu Shuangshuang said.
"Thank you for the heads-up, Sister Shuangshuang. I really do need to have a talk with Hongyi about this."
"Ever since we came to this place, as his cultivation and status have risen, he's paid less and less regard to me — his old brother."
"But he's still my brother all the same. I can't just stand by and watch him offend someone he can't afford to offend," Chu Ping said.
True to his word, Chu Ping went looking for Chu Hongyi right after parting ways with Chu Shuangshuang.
However, when he explained the matter to Chu Hongyi, he was met with nothing but reprimands and was driven away. Left with no choice, Chu Ping had no option but to leave.
But out of worry for Chu Hongyi, he lay awake the entire night.
Chu Feng, too, had not slept at all that night. Ever since learning that the place where his father and his grandfather had once lived had been seized by the Burning Prairie Demon Clan — and that he didn't even know whether the palace his father and grandfather had resided in was still intact — a fire had been smoldering in his chest with nowhere to vent. He was thoroughly frustrated.
"If you can't swallow this anger, then just go take that territory back," the Queen said.
"If it were just me, it wouldn't matter. I could act without a care and do whatever I wanted."
"But it's different here. Whatever I do alone will implicate the entire Chu Heavenly Clan," Chu Feng said.
"But do they treat you as one of them? Except for that Chu Qing, Chu Shuangshuang, and that fellow named Chu Ping, I don't see anyone else who actually regards you as family. When you're strong, they fear you. When you're weak, they bully you. As for whether you live or die — they couldn't care less."
"That's all your relationship amounts to," the Queen said.
"What Eggie says makes sense. Alright then — I'll sneak over to the Burning Prairie Demon Clan's territory later and take a look. If my father's and grandfather's residences are still intact, I'll let them be for a while."
"But if they've destroyed my grandfather's and father's homes, then this is one grudge I absolutely will not let go."
Chu Feng was not joking.
To most people, the palace where his grandfather and father had once lived was something utterly insignificant — not even worth a copper.
But to Chu Feng, it held extraordinary meaning. To him, it was a priceless treasure, and he would not permit anyone to destroy it.
