But Chu Feng was supposed to be dead! How could he have entered the Upper Realm Gate? And how could he have defeated the juniors of the Li Heavenly Clan?

"That's right, Chu Xuanyuan does indeed have a son by that name. But wasn't it rumored that his son was imprisoned alongside him in the forbidden grounds of the Chu Heavenly Clan, and that he died long ago because he couldn't withstand the power within?"
"Exactly, I've heard that too. Chu Xuanyuan's son is long dead. And even if he were truly Chu Xuanyuan's son, wasn't he a talentless cripple who couldn't cultivate? How could he possibly defeat us?"
At this point, the juniors of the Li Heavenly Clan couldn't help but break into discussion among themselves.
Because Chu Xuanyuan was far too extraordinary a figure, his son had been the subject of attention from the entire Ancestral Martial Star Domain at one point or another.
After a brief exchange, it was Li Yan — the strongest among them — who stepped forward. Pointing at the portrait of Chu Feng, he addressed Chu Hanpeng: "Senior, is this person truly the son of Chu Xuanyuan?"
"He is indeed Chu Xuanyuan's son," Chu Hanpeng confirmed.
"He really is Chu Xuanyuan's son?"
Hearing this confirmation, even the Li Heavenly Clan juniors were surprised. After all, they had long since heard the stories about Chu Xuanyuan's son.
And according to what they knew, Chu Feng had been dead for a long time. Even if he weren't dead, he was nothing more than a worthless cripple incapable of martial cultivation.
If it truly was Chu Xuanyuan's son who had defeated them, that was a rather significant revelation.

"But you're saying he was the one who injured you — that seems highly unlikely," Chu Hanpeng said.
"Unlikely? Why unlikely? It was clearly this Chu Feng who made things difficult for us inside the Upper Realm Gate that day. We saw it with our own eyes — could we possibly have been mistaken?" Li Tianyou retorted.
"Because Chu Feng is long dead," Chu Hanpeng repeated.
"Senior, my brothers have confirmed beyond any doubt that the one who injured them inside the Upper Realm Gate was this very Chu Feng."
"This matter is absolutely certain. And now you're using the excuse that Chu Feng is already dead to shield him — do you really think so little of us?"
"Senior, do you truly take us for fools?" Li Yan demanded.
He simply refused to believe that Chu Feng was dead. So when Chu Hanpeng said as much, he could only assume it was an excuse the Chu Heavenly Clan was using to protect Chu Feng.
"Wait a moment — wasn't it Young Master Chu Zhiyuan who entered the Upper Realm Gate? So why are the Li Heavenly Clan juniors insisting it was Chu Feng and not Young Master Chu Zhiyuan?"
"Could it really be that Chu Feng is alive and that Chu Zhiyuan lied?"
