Thunder crackled around Chu Feng's body as he followed the undercurrents within the lake, plunging deeper at a remarkable speed.
"Chu Feng, what's going on with this lightning on your body?"
The Queen was deeply confused. She had believed that falling into this place meant certain death.
Even she could sense how terrifying this lake water was.
Within these waters, scorching waves surged skyward, as though they could burn everything to ash.
Because of this, the Queen had never imagined that Chu Feng would be perfectly unharmed after falling in.
And it all came from the lightning radiating from his body.
This lightning not only kept Chu Feng safe — it also protected Chu Youyuan.
But the key thing was, this lightning did not appear to be under Chu Feng's control. It was overflowing from him on its own.
In other words, this was an instinctive reaction of his Heavenly Lightning Bloodline.
"I don't know what's going on either. Perhaps Lord Youyuan understands."
As Chu Feng spoke, he looked over at Chu Youyuan.
Chu Youyuan had already fallen unconscious. Grandfather Chu Zhiyuan's sneak attack had dealt him a devastating blow. Even though Chu Feng had treated his wounds, the results were still far from satisfactory.
That was to be expected. For someone of Chu Youyuan's caliber, the fact that he had been injured so gravely that he lost consciousness meant his soul had taken the real damage. Unfortunately… his current injuries were beyond even Chu Feng's ability to heal.
"It seems this Chu Youyuan already knew that jumping into this place would be safe. He truly understands the Nine Moon Divine Domain well. He's not a Supreme Elder, yet he possesses strength that surpasses even ordinary Supreme Elders. This old man really is no ordinary figure."
The Queen had a very high opinion of Chu Youyuan. After all, it was he who had allowed Chu Feng and her to escape their plight.
"Oh right, Chu Feng — how's the old man's condition? He won't die, will he?" the Queen asked.
"Lord Youyuan's injuries are beyond my ability to heal. His condition isn't great, but it won't threaten his life. The only question is when he'll wake up," Chu Feng replied.
"As long as he won't die. Chu Feng, where do you think these undercurrents lead? Could there be another exit?" the Queen said.
"I'd certainly hope there's another exit. That way, I can make them pay the price," Chu Feng said.
In truth, Chu Feng felt quite helpless at the moment. Though they had escaped one deadly situation, the lake's power was still formidable. Trapped within it, he could only follow the undercurrent and drift along wherever the water took him, not knowing where he would end up.
And despite the undercurrent's obvious speed, he kept drifting and drifting but could never see the bottom. That alone showed just how much larger this lake was than he had imagined.
From the outside, it might indeed look more like a lake, but on the inside, calling it a world would be far more accurate.
Because it was simply enormous.
At this speed, Chu Feng drifted for a full day.
After that day, he finally reached the bottom of the lake. Once he landed at the bottom, the undercurrent vanished, and he regained his freedom to move as he wished.
"I drifted for so long before finally reaching the bottom. Just how deep is this lake?"
Even the Queen was stunned, her small mouth agape in astonishment.
Chu Feng, however, gazed upward.
Though he was still within the lake, the area above was teeming with undercurrents.
Whoosh— Suddenly, Chu Feng shot upward, hurtling toward the surface at blinding speed.
