"Come with me." Chu Yue's mother grabbed her daughter's hand and led her away.
When they reappeared, it was not at Chu Feng's residence but at Chu Yue's home.
"Chu Haoyan didn't threaten you?" Chu Yue's mother asked.
"No." Chu Yue shook her head.
"Then tell me honestly—why did Chu Haoyan come looking for you?" Chu Yue's mother pressed.
