Jian Wuqing continued watching Chu Feng, seemingly trying to confirm his suspicions.
Upon sensing Jian Wuqing's gaze, Chu Feng also gave Jian Wuqing a look.
After seeing Chu Feng's expression, Jian Wuqing was now certain of his guess — Chu Feng truly did not fear Ren Xiaoyao, because the look Chu Feng had given him was telling Jian Wuqing not to worry about him.
And indeed, Chu Feng was not afraid of Ren Xiaoyao. Though he currently had no martial power, no cultivation, and was as fragile as an ordinary person — his physical body no different from any commoner's.
However, after so many years of martial cultivation, the fundamental combat instincts were still there. Chu Feng had always been renowned for his prowess in close-quarters combat, and bare-handed fighting was something he excelled at.
The reason such fights rarely happened among martial cultivators was that confrontations typically began with oppressive auras, followed by martial power — battles were decided through techniques and martial skills.
Opportunities for close-range engagement were scarce, and even when they did occur, fighters relied on weapons and specialized techniques to gain the upper hand.
True bare-handed brawls were virtually nonexistent.
But now, this was a chance for Chu Feng to demonstrate his bare-handed fighting prowess.
"Brother Chu Feng, these are the rules of the game. If I want to win, I have to eliminate you — so don't blame me for this."
Ren Xiaoyao cracked his knuckles, the joints popping one after another, as he walked toward Chu Feng with a cheerful grin.
"Rules are rules — of course I won't blame you. But… don't you blame me either," Chu Feng said.
"What?" Hearing Chu Feng's words, Ren Xiaoyao was stunned.
Don't blame me?
What did that mean?
Could it be that this guy actually intended to make a move on him, Ren Xiaoyao?
Whoosh — While Ren Xiaoyao stood there frozen, Chu Feng lunged forward in a single explosive step, closing the distance with terrifying speed. In the blink of an eye, he was already right in front of Ren Xiaoyao.
And his fist came with him, whistling through the air, aimed straight at Ren Xiaoyao's face.
"You — ?"
Ren Xiaoyao was struck with shock. He realized with alarm that Chu Feng's speed was far too great — this was nothing like an ordinary, powerless commoner.
This attack had caught him completely off guard, far beyond anything he had anticipated.
But Ren Xiaoyao was no ordinary person either — he had the confidence to go after Chu Feng for a reason.
He planted his foot backward and sidestepped, attempting to dodge Chu Feng's punch by pivoting to the side.
However, Chu Feng was still a step faster, and Ren Xiaoyao was half a beat too slow. The punch found its mark.
There was a sharp crack, and Ren Xiaoyao let out a miserable scream as Chu Feng's fist sent him flying backward. He crashed hard onto the ground.
When he landed, blood was streaming from both his nose and mouth. He opened his jaw and three of his front teeth fell out.
"You bastard!"
Ren Xiaoyao erupted with fury, scrambling to his feet to teach Chu Feng a lesson.
But Chu Feng had already closed in. He raised his leg and delivered a vicious kick straight to Ren Xiaoyao's face.
Ren Xiaoyao had barely gotten up before he screamed again, sent crashing back to the ground by the kick.
Then Chu Feng simply straddled Ren Xiaoyao and began raining a barrage of savage punches onto his bloodied face.
Ren Xiaoyao now had the body of an ordinary man — there was no way he could withstand this kind of beating from Chu Feng. Screams of agony poured out of him without pause, and he began begging for mercy, pleading with Chu Feng to let him off.
But Chu Feng had no intention of letting him go. Not only did he hit harder and harder, but he was also muttering as he did so.
"Brother Xiaoyao, you really can't blame me for this. It's the rules of the game — I'm only doing what I have to."
Chu Feng was cheerfully explaining all this to Ren Xiaoyao with a smile on his face, all while his fists hammered relentlessly into the bloody ruin of Ren Xiaoyao's features.
Meanwhile, the onlookers standing not far away had been utterly dumbfounded.
They could only think — how was Chu Feng so savage? They were all supposed to be ordinary people, so how did he still possess such terrifying combat ability?
And while everyone was still reeling from the shock of Chu Feng's dominance, he grabbed Ren Xiaoyao by the hair and began dragging him toward the edge of the cliff.
"This Chu Feng — is he going to throw Ren Xiaoyao off the cliff?"
Their guess was correct, because Chu Feng had already dragged Ren Xiaoyao all the way to the edge of the mountaintop.
"Chu Feng, if you dare throw me off, this isn't over between us!" Ren Xiaoyao threatened.
