Though the distance was still considerable, the Void Divine Tree had already come into his field of vision.
The tree truly lived up to its name — it grew within the void itself, yet it was simply far too massive, piercing straight through the cloud layer.
It was as though it were a colossal tree rooted above the clouds, but even that description didn't do it justice — it was simply too enormous.
By Chu Feng's estimation, even an ordinary trunk of this tree was a thousand meters in diameter, and its length stretched over a hundred thousand meters.
And the main trunk? Its size was beyond all reckoning. One could only imagine what kind of titan this truly was.
However, aside from its colossal size and the abundance of trunks and vines, the tree wasn't all that extraordinary. It didn't radiate any shimmering light, and the color of its leaves and branches appeared perfectly normal.
What stood out was the layer of barrier surrounding the Void Divine Tree — one visible to the naked eye.
The barrier was a pale green, and it enveloped the Void Divine Tree completely.
All in all, the Void Divine Tree matched what Chu Feng had imagined reasonably well.
The only thing that surprised him was that he had expected the area around the Void Divine Tree to be swarming with various powers.
Yet he found that the number of people gathered outside the tree was far fewer than he'd anticipated.
In fact, he could see many individuals and groups heading in the opposite direction — they were leaving.
And among the wanderers who passed by Chu Feng, some were cursing under their breath, their mouths filthy, as though they were cursing someone out.
After making some inquiries, Chu Feng learned the reason. During the time he had been unconscious, the Chu Heavenly Clan had come as well.
The Chu Heavenly Clan had employed special methods, yet they still failed to find the person inside the Void Divine Tree's barrier.
They couldn't find so much as a single trace.
On top of that, the original person who had claimed to see someone inside the Void Divine Tree had already vanished — no one knew who had spread that rumor in the first place.
So the Chu Heavenly Clan concluded that the earlier reports had been nothing but rumors.
Once the Chu Heavenly Clan made that declaration, all the other powers found it convincing and firmly believed the whole thing had been a hoax.
And so, they had all left.
Now the only ones remaining were those who had just arrived and didn't know the full story, which naturally meant there were far fewer people.
"To think even the Holy Master of the Starfall Sacred Ground came — that must be the strongest fighter Starfall Sacred Ground has to offer, right?"
"What a shame. We missed seeing all those great figures gathered in one place," the Queen said with a touch of regret.
From the conversations of those around them, the Queen and Chu Feng had already learned that an impressive number of big shots had come this time.
These were, without exaggeration, the absolute peak powers of the Great Thousand Upper Realm.
It was just a pity that Chu Feng hadn't managed to see any of them before they departed.
"It's better that they're gone. If they were still here, their strength would probably let them see through my disguise at a single glance. I'm not sure whether that would be fortune or misfortune," Chu Feng said.
"They have no grudge against you, so they probably wouldn't give you a hard time?" the Queen said.
"Who knows?" Chu Feng replied with a faint smile.
By now, Chu Feng had drawn close to the Void Divine Tree. The reason he had insisted on coming here was because he was nearly certain this was no rumor — it had actually happened.
If it were merely a rumor, how could someone have described Wang Qiang's appearance with such vivid accuracy?
This had to be the truth. He just didn't know where Wang Qiang was hiding now.
Still, Chu Feng wanted to search. Perhaps Wang Qiang had left him some kind of clue.
However, after Chu Feng circled the entire Void Divine Tree and carefully searched the area outside the barrier, he came up completely empty.
